"Keep going. Keep growing."
It was Saturday afternoon and I finally arrived at my share house. My housemates, Melanie, Sophie and Kelly went out to buy groceries. I walked straight to my room and jumped on to my bed.
"Ahh. I miss my room and I am so damn sleepy! Let's just take a nap before waking up and get ready for a date with Jeremy." I yawned, setting my alarm and quickly shut my eyes.
A few hours later, my alarm snoozed a few times so I decided to finally wake up. I rubbed my eyes, groaned and stretched my arms. I looked at the watch and it stated that it is already 7.30 pm. I widened my eyes, feeling shocked, "Oh My God! I am going to be late! I supposed to meet him at 8pm! Looks like I need to get ready and be super quick!"
I ran to the bathroom, washing my face and quickly took out any dress from my wardrobe.
"Whatever! Just going to wear this blue dress and quickly tied my hair. There is not enough time to curl it." I sighed.
I headed out of the house, running to the café to meet up with Jeremy. I looked at my watch, "Okay, so I have 3 more minutes to go. Let's run, Alannah!" I ran frantically and called Jeremy, "Are you there yet? I'm just right around the corner of the café. I'll be here in a minute."
A few minutes later, I finally arrived at the café and we spent our time eating, chatting with each other. It was fun and I missed him even though we haven't meet for only 2 weeks.
We walked around the neighbourhood and Jeremy walked me to his car, "Let's go somewhere, shall we?" I looked at him, confused, "Where are we going?" He grinned widely, "Well, just sit back and relax. You are going to love this place."
I nodded, looking at the night scenery. It does look beautiful. The night sky, the bright stars were so amazing and pretty.
30 minutes later, we finally arrived at our destination. My jaw dropped, feeling shocked, "OMG! It's a fun fair carnival. I didn't know that it was nearby our area. Omg! Let's go and try all the rides!" I held Jeremy's hand, squealed loudly. He chuckled, looking at my reaction. "How cute. Now, let's go and eat more snacks!" He held my hand tighter, and ran towards the carnival entrance.
"Let's go and enjoy this date." I smiled, mumbled to myself.
We spent almost 2 hours at the carnival. There were so many types of rides there and street food we ate. I was extremely full but I enjoyed my day spent with him.
Jeremy drove me home and we bid each other goodbye. It was near midnight already. I took a quick shower and looked at my phone. I got a text and a missed call from Ivy.
"Oh, Ivy called me about an hour ago. I didn't realized it since my phone is on silent." I said to myself.
I replied to her chat, "What's up? Sorry I didn't answer your call." I turned off the lights, dozing myself to sleep.
The next morning I woke up late as I did not have any classes and part time shift. I rubbed my eyes, reaching for my phone to see if Ivy replied to my chat. I looked at the time, "Oh, it is nearly noon and Ivy has not replied to my chat yet." I dialed her number, waiting for her to answer. She did not answer my call. I did give her a call for 2 times but there was no answer.
"I guess I'll give her a call later. Maybe she is a bit busy at the moment." I said to myself.
I got out of the bed, entering the bathroom. "Well, now time to get freshen up and start my day! Let's be productive, today." I beamed.
I started my day by organizing my table, drawer and also my study notes. I am currently a final year student and a part time worker in a café. Therefore, I need to be organized and need to follow my schedule. I opened my daily planner and listed out all the things that need to be done for the upcoming months.
"Oh! I just remembered that I have an assignment due in two days! I am only halfway done with that! Looks like I need to start doing it now." I sighed heavily, ruffling my hair.
I was preoccupied with the assignment until 9pm. I looked at my phone and there was still no reply from Ivy. I felt a bit worried though. She would always reply me quickly or called me back if I leave her a missed call. Something is not right. My heart felt uneasy. So I decided to call her again.
I dialed her number once again and there was no answer. I was about to call Ivy's mom and I had a thought, "Am I bothering them? It is already night time and would it be rude?" I stopped for a second and sent Ivy a message, "Hey, are you okay? Why are you not answering any of my calls? I am worried. Call me when you see this text, okay?"
I shook my head, trying to let these unnecessary thoughts out of my head. I sighed, "Ivy's fine, right? I hope she's alright and probably just busy with job hunting."
