"It may be stormy now but it never rains forever." - Evan Carmichael.
The whole room was in silent after hearing Ivy's words. Probably everyone was in shock seeing Ivy's sudden reaction and how anxious she was. She took a deep breath and exclaimed, "I just wished that both of us understands each other and willing to cooperate for better solution for my situation."
Ivy got up, saying that she needs to get a drink after talking for a long time. I looked at everyone's face expression carefully. All of a sudden, I heard a thud sound coming from behind me. THUD! I quickly turned around and saw Ivy lying on the floor, unconscious.
"Oh my Gosh! Ivy!" I exclaimed, running towards her.
Her parents came towards her and shook her body a few times, "Ivy! Ivy! Please wake up. What happened to you?!" I checked for her pulse, her heartbeat was weak. I sighed heavily, making an eye contact with Joshua. He was panicking and I signaling him to call the ambulance quickly.
"Joshua, Jeremy! Call an ambulance quickly!" I shouted.
Jeremy patted Joshua's back to stop from panicking and called an ambulance.
I looked at Ivy's unconscious body and whispered, "Everything is going to be fine. Please be strong, Ivy."
15 minutes later, the ambulance arrived and Ivy parents rushed to go inside the ambulance. Jeremy, Joshua and I took a cab to go the hospital. I texted my mom, telling her that I might be home a bit late due to sudden unexpected incident.
"Mom, I might be home a bit late. We are going to the hospital. Ivy fainted. I'll text you when I am on my way home." I texted.
I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. It may not be the first time Ivy fainted but it was my first time seeing her fainted and lying unconscious in front of me. Jeremy held my hand tightly, whispering, "Relax. Don't panic. I'm sure Ivy will gain her consciousness soon." I looked at him, nodded in agreement.
Ivy was taken to the emergency room meanwhile the rest of us waited outside. I was praying for Ivy's recovery and hoping that it was nothing serious. Joshua was fidgeting his hands signaling that he was nervous as well. I looked at Ivy's parents and saw that Auntie Flora wiped her tears slowly.
30 minutes later, the doctor went out of the emergency room. Ivy's parents went towards the doctor. I heard the doctor telling Ivy's condition was stable but she was in coma. I sighed heavily, feeling sad about Ivy's condition.
Ivy's parents went inside to see their daughter first meanwhile the three of us waited outside the hospital room. I looked at Joshua and said, "Joshua, are you alright? Your hands are trembling! Relax, Ivy is going to be fine. She will wake up soon. " Joshua looked up. His eyes were red, filling with tears, "I should've known. I should've protect her. I should've help her and solve this issue together with her. What kind of boyfriend am I? I am not attentive to her. How I wish I could turn back the time!"
Jeremy shook his head and comforted him, "No, Joshua. Please don't say that. Let's focus on the present now. Treat Ivy better and help her a lot, okay? The three of us will play a role in helping Ivy to get better."
I nodded in agreement with Jeremy's words and said, "Yes, now let's give support and encouragement to Ivy. She needs mental support and help. Hopefully her parents give support as well."
30 minutes later, Ivy parents went out of the hospital room. Auntie Flora went towards the three of us and said, "The three of you can come inside and see Ivy. However, Ivy is still unconscious. Hopefully, she will be awake soon. Let's pray for her." I nodded and replied, "Okay, auntie."
I looked at both Jeremy and Joshua, signaling them to enter the hospital room with me. I opened the door carefully, looking at the surrounding of the room. My eyes landed at Ivy's unconscious body. She was sleeping peacefully. I looked at Joshua as he went towards Ivy and sat near her.
