"Attempt the impossible." - Bette Davis

Fast forward and I could see that Ivy's condition become better day by day. Her cheerful and bright self is back and she smiled a lot these days. I am truly happy for her. Perhaps, Joshua did become one of the reasons for her happiness. Ivy and Joshua have been dating for a few months now.

However, her parents didn't know about it yet. Ivy could not find the right timing to tell her parents. She seemed so nervous and anxious in telling this news to her parents. Knowing how her parents are like, I really do think that Ivy needs to plan carefully on how to tell her parents about her boyfriend. It is Ivy's first relationship so it would be understandable that she is nervous. Like really nervous! I would be nervous as well. But that would be like someday in the future as I don't have a boyfriend, yet.

Anyway, I have been a third wheel during their date because Ivy would tell her parents that she is hanging out with me. I felt like I was on to a secret mission to guard my friend from being seen by someone we know. It was a terrifying yet funny experience. Usually during the date, I would probably watch dramas while eating my food meanwhile the two lovebirds would act lovingly and it makes me want to puke! Hahaha Just Kidding.

A part of me was disgusted with the lovey dovey act between Ivy and Joshua. However, another part of me wondered how does love actually feel like? Well, I'm sure there will be a chance and time where I fall in love, right?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was Thursday morning and time for me to work for my shift at the café. Ringgg! I reached for my phone to turn off the alarm. I rubbed my eyes and yawned one more time before getting up.
"Ugh. Can I just skip work today? I should not have binge watching a few more episodes last night." I groaned.
I groaned a few more times and eventually walked towards the bathroom. I washed up my face and took a quick shower to freshen up. I put on my uniform and quickly grabbed an apple before heading to work. I walked to the café as it was located nearby my house.
"Hey, you looked quite awful today." Jeremy laughed.
I glared at him and said, "Hey, is that how you greet your fellow friend?!" He laughed and playfully hit my arm, "You know I'm just kidding, right. I love being with you, my favourite co-worker." He smiled widely, showing his deep dimple.
I smiled a little as my heart suddenly flutters hearing his words. I furrowed my eyebrows and mumbled to myself, "Why does my heart have this weird feeling? Why does he look cute today? That's weird..."
"Hmm. Did you say anything, Alannah?" Jeremy glanced at me. I shook my head quickly and said, "Oh, n-nothing."
I put my hand on my chest and whispered, "Why aren't you calming down? Am I so tired that my heart begins to pound fast without any reason? I must be out of my mind!" I ruffled my hair to get this unnecessary thoughts out of my mind.
A few hours passed with a lot of customers came by and ordering coffee as well as cakes at the café. I sighed in relief when it is almost time to end my shift for today. I did some stretches to relax and release some tension in my body. Jeremy was cleaning the table and stacking up chairs. I was about to go home first but I saw someone suspicious waiting nearby the café. The man kept on looking towards the direction of the café. I hesitated whether to just continue walking home by myself or asked Jeremy to accompany me.
So I decided to wait for him near the counter until he finished cleaning up the café. About 10 minutes later, Jeremy was about to exit the café. He was surprised when he saw me outside of the café.
"Alannah? What are you still doing here? I thought you already went back home. You never waited for me." He said, pretending to sulk.
I rolled my eyes in disgust when I saw him pouting and sulking, "Well, I just feel like waiting for you today." He smirked at me and replied, "Oh. Now, do I seem important and charming to you, my lady?" My heart skipped a beat when I looked at him being cheeky in front of me. I stuttered a bit when I replied to him, "Eh... N- Nope. You are not!"
I looked around to see whether the suspicious man was there or not. Fortunately, he was gone. I was about to bid goodbye. Jeremy smiled at me, ruffling my hair and walked to the right. I looked at him, and mumbled, "Why is he going that way? Isn't his house the other way?" He looked back at me, "Alannah, why are you still standing there? Come on, let me walk you home. It is already dark and late at night already."
Once again, my heart beating so fast again due to Jeremy's words and little gestures. Is something wrong with me today? I am feeling a bit different today.
I shook my head to not let these unnecessary thoughts bothering me. "Wait up for me." I said, while running towards Jeremy. I walked next to him and we chatted a bit as we head towards my house.
15 minutes later, I finally arrived at my house. I bid goodbye to Jeremy and walked into my room. I sat on my bean bag and let out a squeal.
"Oh my Gosh. What just happened? That was so unexpected!" I squealed loudly.
I smiled brightly and giggled a bit. I heard a knock on my door. The door opened and I saw my housemate, Kelly looked at me in concern, "Are you okay, Alannah? I heard a loud squeal coming from your room." I laughed a little and nodded my head, "Yes, I am alright. Sorry for making you worried. I was just excited about something."
She looked at me curiously and asked, "Whoa. What happened? Tell me, girl." I smiled, signaling her to come inside my room and tell her what happened during my way home.
My heart fluttered as I recalled the moments briefly in my mind. My eyes sparkled and I automatically smiled as I remembered what he said to me.
