"We rise by lifting others."- Robert Ingersoll

Each day goes by. It was already been a few weeks since I called Ivy. I tried to call her everyday but there was no response from her. I called her mom once and she said, "Ivy was fine and currently out at the moment." My mind was blank and I said, "Ivy wouldn't just ignore me. Is there something wrong with her?"

I could not go to my hometown as I was currently busy with my studies, assignments and part time job too. Semester break will be in two weeks time and I hope I will be able to meet and talk to Ivy.

For the past few weeks, I have been juggling my time and trying to manage my time efficiently between my studies, work, love life and also friends. I guess adult life is pretty much tiring and requires a lot of time and also energy.

Fast forward and it was already near my semester break. The semester break was about a month. I already packed a few things such as my laptop, a few clothes and essential items to go home. I cannot wait to meet my family and friends. Jeremy was coming with me too. He wanted to meet my parents and explore my hometown.

Both of us agreed to meet up at the train station at 11 o'clock in the morning. I quickly get ready, put on a minimal makeup and headed towards the train station.

20 minutes later, I finally arrived at the train station. I waited for Jeremy at the entrance of the train station. Suddenly, I felt that someone pushed me from behind.

"Boo!"

I startled a bit, letting out a scream. I turned around and looked at Jeremy, laughing at me. I rolled my eyes, pushing him back.

He looked at me, patting my head, "Okay, I am sorry. I'm sorry making you feel shocked. Forgive me, my love." I looked at him, feeling a bit mad, "Well, why would you do that to me? You really are so annoying and love to do this silly prank. It is so annoying that I cannot get mad at you for so long." I chuckled a little and gave him a hug.

He ruffled my hair, grabbed my hand, "Let's go to buy some food so that we can eat on the train."

Both of us went to buy snacks and drinks. I bought some chips, biscuits and sandwiches. 10 minutes later, Jeremy and I went into the train and sat at our respective seat.

I looked at the window and admiring the scenery throughout the journey to my hometown. All of a sudden, I felt a buzzed from my pocket. I opened my phone and received a chat on Facebook. I furrowed my eyebrow, opened the Facebook app and saw a chat from Ivy's boyfriend, Joshua.

"Joshua? Why is he chatting me all of a sudden? I haven't met him yet though..." I mumbled to myself.

I clicked on his chat to read it, "Hi Alannah. It's me, Joshua. I have something to ask you about Ivy. This is really urgent. I hope you reply to me ASAP."

I looked at the chat for a few seconds, trying to process what the chat is about. I quickly replied to him, "Hi Joshua. So, what is it that you want to ask? Is Ivy alright?"
