BACK WITH ANOTHER CHAPTER!
Avalanna Carlson
We got here late last night, it was nice to sleep in my own bed for once. And this morning when I woke up and was surrounded in my own room, I felt good.
I got ready and walked out of my room and down the hallway, I stopped by the stairs and looked down. I walked down, the radio was on as always in the morning.
I walked into the kitchen. "Good morning" I smiled as I walked over to the fridge. "How did you sleep?" mom asked me. "Really good" I told her and grabbed a water bottle, "where's mom?" I asked her, "she went to get some orange juice" she told me.
"It's so nice to be here with you guys" Drew said as he took a seat, "we're happy both of you are here and for a week" mom smiled, I just nodded. "So Ava, how's working with a superstar like?" mom asked me. "It's really nice, well.. I get to be involved in his tour outfits so it's cool" I said. "Is everyone treating you well?" she asked me, I looked down on my plait, took a piece of my bacon and ate it.
"Well... Because I'm the new one.. I'm the one that's less trusted.. It's hard to accept that not a lot of people trust me" I just said. "Why wouldn't they trust you?" mom asked me, "because something happened the other day and they think it was my fault" I whispered.
"She was accused, someone was in the arena while Ava and Harry were and someone took a picture and posted it online" Drew said, I looked at him. His lawyer self came to light in situations like this. He wanted fairness, he wanted people to feel equal, it was why he became a lawyer.
"And it wasn't you?" mom asked me, "no" I just said. "But Harry's manager kind of applied that it was" I told them. "I'm sorry honey, maybe you should talk to his manager, tell him that it's not a fair treatment and if he still thinks it's you then maybe you should consider if it's worth working there with so many people not giving you the chance of showing them you can be trusted" mom told me.
"Here" Drew said and threw a pair of keys at me, I catched them. "What?" I said, "take the car, I'll just be here for the day, you need some air" he told me. I smiled, "oh you're going to lay there and watch netflix, aren't you?" I smiled, "correct sister" he smiled, "you deserve to relax" I nodded, "see you later" I smiled as I grabbed my bag.
I walked into the garage. I smiled, the convertible car was our parents first real purchase as a couple. They saved up for this car. they rarely used it themselves. They told Drew and me that they wanted us to use it. I didn't have a car around here, but since both of our parents did have one each for work, I used this a lot when I was in town.
I got in the car and put my bag on the passenger seat. I took my sunglasses up in my hair as I put in the key. I drove out and down the street of my neighbourhood. The wind messed up my hair but it was alright.
I parked at a Starbucks and walked in. I took out my phone and saw a few missed calls from Harry, some even from Jeffrey. I dialled Jeffrey's number as I stood in line.
"Finally," Jeffrey said, "you can't just disappear, Ava," he told me. "I didn't" I just said, "I just really felt like I wasn't needed there, also I don't know if you remember but you accused me of something I clearly didn't do" I said. "You know you did sign the nda-" "Don't use that against me" I just whispered.
