New Year's Eve tonight, it was going to be a blast. I walked out of the plane with Jake. We just arrived at the airport. I brought all of my things back since Davina was generous enough to let me be wherever I wanted to from now on. I could go back to Florence if I wanted to and not if needed to.

Jake grabbed my arm, "we need to pick up your suitcases" he said. I walked with him. "Right," I nodded, "there's a lot of people here" I whispered. My social anxiety didn't go well with a lot of people. "Sorry" Jake said, he grabbed my hand.

"This is so nice" I smiled, I looked out of the car. "It's nice to see you happy," Jake said as he was driving the car. I looked over, "thank you for coming with me" I told him.

I knocked on the door, I took a step back with Jake. The door opened, Drew was there. "What the hell!" he smiled, he hugged me. "Ava is here!" Drew yelled. He pulled away, "surprise" I smiled. "And who did you bring?" Mom smiled, "I'm Jake, friend of Ava," Jake smiled. "hi, such a nice surprise, come on in both of you" mom smiled.

"So you can stay?" Mom asked me, "yes" I smiled. "And Jake, where did you meet him?" she smiled. "He just kind of showed up" I told her, "he's nice," she smiled. "We're happy you got here in time for new years eve" she hugged me.

"Where are we going?" I asked my parents, "we thought we could go out to eat, we want to celebrate your back, Drew is here too and of course Jake" mom smiled. We were on our way out of the house. "We're going to Nobu!" Drew told me, I just smiled.

I drove with Jake, Drew drove with our parents. "What's your new year's resolution?" I asked him. "Huh?" he said, "do you have a new years resolution?" I asked him. "I just want to be happy, that's all" he smiled. "And maybe in the new year have a girlfriend, that's on the top" he told me. I blushed. "But I do have a feeling it's going to happen" he smiled, I smiled and looked out of the window.

I walked in with Jake, Drew and our parents. We got our table. I sat in between Drew and Jake and our parents were on the other side of the table.

It was so nice, being home was all I wanted. and now I am here with them all.

"Happy new years" Jake told me, we were at one of his friends' parties. Drew didn't want to come but I told Jake I could join him but wanted to go home earlier than what he probably would. "Happy new years" I smiled, he kissed me. Midnight kiss.

I walked into the house, Drew walked out here. He nodded to the basement, I walked with him. He took a seat and so did I. "Jake huh?" he smiled, I nodded. "It's new and all but I really-" "No no Ava, I like him, he's cool" Drew smiled. "I just.. I never got to hear why you returned with him and not Harry?" he asked me. "Did something happen?" he asked me.

"He just.. Didn't want what I wanted" I told Drew. "Harry left me, said he wanted to be friends only" I told Drew. "Okay" he said, "what about Jake?" He asked me, "he seems very nice," Drew told me. "He is" I told him.

"Just take care Ava, he's a well known face, people could say so much towards you, I don't want to ruin your happiness" Drew said. "I know," I told him, "but right now.. I'm good" I said. "At first I was sad, cause Harry just left and told me he wanted to be friends, I have to accept and respect it, right?" I asked him. "So I do that, but I also want love, I want someone who cares, someone who wants it" I whispered.
