"Why did he wanna meet all of a sudden? psh." Taehyung almost sounded whining as he hid his hand on the pocket of his coat. Cold wind brushed his face and he almost shivered. "Ugh." He almost sprinted towards the coffee shop where Hoseok was waving at him.
Wind chime tingled soon as Taehyung entered the shop. "Hello!" Hoseok greeted brightly. Taehyung gazed at him briefly as he took off his beanie. Few snowflakes fell from his head and his coat.
"Hi." He greeted back without looking back.
"why so cold? Are you mad that I didn't make it on your brother's birthday?"
"Of course not."
"Jeez. You don't have to miss me a lot."
"I just said..." Taehyung's lips pressed together before heaving a sigh. He decided not to argue, afterall, the officer will just listen to what he want to hear, he was so alike of his sister. He grumpily walked towards the table where the officer was sitting. "So what do you want to talk about?" He asked immediately after sitting down.
"Jeez... I'm not in a hurry. Why don't we eat first?" The officer said and pushed the slice of cake to Taehyung. "I already ordered. I remember you liking this cake." Hoseok said with a blindingly bright smile. Taehyung paused and without realizing it, a faint smile painted his face. "T-Thank you." He muttered and started eating the cake.***
HOSEOK POV
"So you're telling me you've known Jimin since you were in Senior High."
"Yeah."
"That was after Jimin resigned."
"What?"
"U-uh... nothing."As I thought, Taehyung may not know anything about Jimin's past. They've met just after Jimin resigned from being an officer. But why did Jimin do that in the first place? That part was so intriguing. I already knew something was fishy from his parent's case, but if he really wanted to know the truth, being an officer is the best way to have an access of all the evidences and historical data. Why did he suddenly pull himself off the post?
AUTHOR POV
"Hmm... So about Jimin, what kind of person is he?" Hoseok asked that made Taehyung stopped from chewing the cake he put on his mouth. He narrowed his eyes and looked at the officer suspiciously. "Why are you suddenly interested about Jimin?" He asked.Hoseok grinned as he leaned on the softness of the couch. "Just because." He uttered and Taehyung almost rolled his eyes. "Then, I have nothing else to tell you." He said and was about to leave the shop but the officer was fast to grab his hands. "I'm interested... in him." He uttered and Taehyung almost choke from the cake in his mouth.
"What?" He glared at Hoseok. As expected, he instantly felt the burden in his chest. He didn't even moved on from Jungkook and Jimin's relationship yet and now this? The officer was telling him that he was interested to Jimin right in front of his face. The officer of all people. He thought he was his friend. He even helped him find Jimin and his brother.
"You're kidding, right?"
"I am not."Taehyung heaved a sigh. His head was starting to ache again and so he subtly massaged it with his fingers. "If you're so interested in Jimin, then I'm not the right person to ask about him. Go f*ck yourself." Taehyung rapped. He then pulled his hands away from the officer. He was about to walk away when he heard Hoseok chuckled. Taehyung looked back just to feel more annoyed at the officer. 'Is this guy mocking me?' He thought. "...I'm sorry, I can't help it."
"Are you making fun of me?" Taehyung irritably asked and Hoseok held his smile hardly. "How come you're so adorable even when you're mad?" The officer said.
