"What's with the sad face?" Hyuna asks seeing the change in Taehyung's expression. She can never be more grateful that finally, after almost a month of sleep, he had opened his eyes.
It's been a week since then.
Taehyung's mother finally agrees not to mention anything to Jungkook as he wishes. He doesn't want his brother to worry about him, he just wants him to do what he likes and freely enjoy his life.
Taehyung felt like he owes Jungkook a lot. The time and attention of his mother who is supposed to be with his younger brother, her real son, was given to him without asking anything in return.
Not to burden him anymore is the least he can do for Jungkook --- he thought.
Taehyung shrugged with Hyuna's asking, "I'm- I'm just wondering if Jimin still misses me?" He said fondling the softness of his blanket, like a child, wishfully thinking about his childhood crush.
"I'm nervous noona."
"W-what if--
...he already forgets me?"

Jimin winced as Jungkook untie him. His left arm is still bleeding from the wound he got a while ago. "I-I'm sorry." Jungkook quickly apologizes and worriedly examines Jimin's wound. "That's quite deep." He uttered. His brows knitted together.
If only, if only he's a little stronger none of this would happen. He thought, blaming himself for what happened.
Both of them look disheveled and out of breath. A mixture of sweat, blood, and dirt engross their faces.
Jimin glances at Jungkook. Half of his face is still covered with blood. Jungkook clearly needs medical attention, but here he is, more worried about his grazed wound.
Jimin bit his lips.
"Are you c-crazy?" His voice cracked. A tear glistens in the corner of his eyes as a light pass through the hollow cave where they hide. "W-why..." Jimin continued as his hands reach for the other's cheeks, carefully and gently brushing it with his fingers. Jimin looks at him with an eye that speaks sincerity and concern at the same time. It almost drowns Jungkook.
"Why do you always risk your life... for me?"
His soft voice echoed. It was a question he didn't realize he wanted to ask for long. Jungkook, without him knowing, becomes his savior. He was always there when he needed someone the most.

Only the sound of dripping water can be heard as the two exchange meaningful gazes. Unlike before, Jungkook knows all the rightful answer to his question but instead of words, he just smile, a genuine, unfeigned one. The familiar smile that can make Jimin's heart flutter. A smile that can make him feel secure and protected.
Jungkook gently pats his head and said "I guess," followed by a shrug and a playful wink. "You deserve it though." He ended.
Jimin looked at him in awe. His hands still resting on the other's cheeks. "You're weird," He said, gently sliding his hands on Jungkook's bangs that cover his eyes whilst the latter staring at him.
"Jimin ah, I'm really sorry for what I did, but so you know, I mean what I said." Jungkook didn't know where are all this courage is coming from. Maybe it's the life and death situation they are in, or the darkness of the narrow cave that made him a little braver.
His hands reached out for Jimin's and give it a gentle peck, his eyes are hooded filled with emotions Jimin cannot read. Strangely, his stomach feels like turning upside down with a happy dance.
"Jimin ah, if we come out alive here,
...will you go out with me?"

"Will you go out with me?" Taehyung winks and bites his lips. His handsomeness overflows as he stares at his own reflection in the mirror. If the mirror can speak, it may be already collapsing from hotness overload but, "Yuck! That was creepy." Taehyung immediately wash his face. He has been like this for a while.
It's been a while since he had met Jimin and this time, his planning to confess and formally invite him on a date.
The problem is, he had no idea how to do it, so he keep practicing the lines he had watched over youtube tutorial.
Again and again.
"Jimin ah-"
"H-Hyung!!! Aren't you d-done yet... O-oh.. my go-...Hyung!!?!"
A sudden and unceasing knock on the bathroom made him jump and halt his practicing.
"Why?!!"
"Hyung... E-Emergen... Oh God, I-I can't hold it any longer!!"
He heaved a sigh before opening the door.
"Oh geez, calm dow-"
Jungkook didn't even bother looking at him and pushed him away from the door. The towel that covered his jewels almost fell off, luckily, he was fast enough to hold it from falling.
"Y-yah!"
"I'm sorry," is what Jungkook said after closing the door in front of Taehyung's face.
Taehyung shook his head. "Aigoo~ this kid," He said fixing his towel.
"Where am I again?"

"I really like you Jimin ah." Jungkook lets out a faint smile. His head starting to hurt.
"...to the point that my heart feels like exploding every time I see you with Taehyun." He uttered with his vision starting to blur.
"Every time, you smile at him." Jungkook slowly close his eyes.
"When I see you drinking the cup of coffee he gave you..." He chuckled as he slowly leaned his head on Jimin's shoulder.
"I honestly want to throw it away."
"J-Jungkook..." Jimin gently fondles his cheeks, fretting about Jungkook's head injuries.
"I'm fine." Jungkook holds his hands, gently squeezing it. "As long as you're here with me, I'll be fine."
"I will still date you...
...I won't die here."
Jungkook uttered before passing out on Jimin's shoulder.
