SOMEBODY'S POV
"How is he?" My older brother asked, gently squeezing my hand with both of his hands. His eyes looks tired and sleepless.
"Hyung, are you not drinking your medicine again?" I asked closing our distance making him frown. He hates it when I do that. He scratches his head looking bothered of something. "아니(No)... I'm asking you, how is he? T-that kid." He asked with enthusiasm.
I took a deep breath and count one to ten. It's not I can tell him that kid's situation honestly.
My brother's seems loosing it again.
Himself, I mean.
"T-That kid! I didn't mean to-"
"Shhhhh... It's okay hyung. He's okay. He's doing fine... He e-even won a competition again!" I said looking straight in his eyes spatting the lies I made up, plastering a fake smile in the most reassuring manner I can.
"Really?!" A sign of relief instantly covers up his face.
It's more than 20 years and he's still haunted by the sin he committed. My brother, Min Jungho, made a heinous crime, for me.
___________________________________My phone rang again for the nth time. I'm guessing it's my staff or the clients who bugs me all the time with their unimaginable, out of this world timeline of projects. Did they really think my staffs were robots?
"Haaa~" I took a quick glance at my phone and gladly it was Hyuna so I answered it. Work has been stressing me a lot. "What up?"
"What up your face. Haven't you read my message?" She asked with clear annoyance in her tone.
"Sorry, I have tons, haven't really read yours." Is my honest remarks as I put on my glasses. "You should've called me if its urgent." I added not minding my serious tone. I clear some paper works in my desk before pulling out my laptop to check my email.
"Well, Mr. Busy Man, I just want to tell you that I've already send Taehyung's result. Also, his memories already came back. ..." I supposed to push the start button of my laptop but my hands automatically stop upon hearing the news.
"W-what?"
"Yes, Mr. Busy man, He already remembers everything. I need to talk to you about something though. It's important. Meet me tomorrow, 2pm." She said before hanging up and I was left dumbfounded.
I am Min Yoongi.
If you are wondering who is Taehyung to me,
he is no one,
but not after my brother made the greatest mistake of his life.
_______________________________AUTHOR'S POV
"You should call me immediately once you feel throbbing in your head, okay?" Hyuna reminded Taehyung as she helped him pack his things.Taehyung in his soundless ear pods rolled his eyes. "Noona, you reminded me almost ten times already." He said emphasizing the word 'ten' followed by a faint smile as he shook his head.
The crumpling sound of plastic bottles echoed as Hyuna cleared the empty bottles left on the patient's table. Her eyes wandered around checking if everything's clear, "Did I?" She chuckled soundly messing her hair.
"U-huh." Taehyung nods pressing his lips together. His eyes carefully watched his therapist, who also became his dear friend at the time he was lost.
*Brief silence*
"Hyuna," Taehyung called making the latter flinch.
"Y-yes?"
"Thank you."
Taehyung looked at her with a genuine smile. His eyes curved in crescents and his lips formed into a box showing all his teeth. He looked happy, but hiding behind the contagious smile is his painful reality.
Right at this moment, he already knew, what his real situation is.
🌻🌻🌻
Hyuna smiled seeing the unbothered face of his friend elegantly sipping coffee from the window of the coffee shop they agreed to meet.
"Always so intimidating," Hyuna murmurs as she makes her way to the coffee shop.
Yoongi wears a plain black turtle neck overlaid with a black coat and black pair of eyeglasses making him looks sharp. His brows knitted together as his thumbs run on screen of his phone.
"Business problem?" Hyuna greeted tossing her bag on the empty table in front of Yoongi.
The latter sighed tiredly massaging his temples "Yes. One of our photographer suddenly ran away in the middle of important photoshoot." He uttered putting down the phone exasperatedly.
"Oh." Hyuna mouthed with his lips forming o. "Must be a big problem, looking how stressed you are." She mumbled.
"It is. They are our biggest client and we can't afford loosing their them. That Jungkook must be out of his mind!" Yoongi almost cursed out of annoyance.
"Woah, woah... Calm down there. I'll order something nice and cold to cool you down." Hyuna said and her eyes immediately look for the waiter.
"No, but thanks.I already had enough coffee." Yoongi said raising the white cup he holds. "Besides, I may not have enough time, as you see I'm already on tight schedule here. My brother is not doing fine and I guess I need to take over for the photographer's job for the meantime." Yoongi wanted to apologize but he sounded more like whining. Stress at home and at work has been piling up and he can't help it.
"Oh...kay," Hyuna rolled her eyes. She knows its her cue to tell him the important matter she's about to say.
"So... about Taehyung. How's he?" Yoongi asked after having another sip of his coffee.
Hyuna averted her eyes. Her pupils keep shaking as she feels nervous on how will Yoongi react on the thing she's about to say.
"H-He..." She gulped.
"He wanted to meet you."
"..."
"Pardon?"
