47. Moon Rabbit

"What I'm saying is... I want to know more about you... even your past." Jungkook gently lifts his face with eyes full of affection and smile genuinely.

Jimin looks in his eyes and returns a beautiful smile. "Okay." He says.

Jimin leans himself against the huge tree trunks and put both of his arms on top of his knees. "There is this person whom I used to love." He says while watching the clouds slowly covering the moon. "...but I failed to tell him." He gulps and look down. Memories of Taehyung still brought him sadness but it is a little different now. The pain has no more regret and agony but more of longing for a friend he used to share everything.

"Why?" Jungkook curiosity gets deeper. He is now seeing the same pain in Jimin's eyes that he wanted to erase from the beginning. 'So that person is the reason?' He concluded. There is an immense intensity on his chest like he's watching a suspense thriller movies. Now, he's itching to know what happened and so he asks, "What happened Jimin?"

Jimin takes a deep breath, trailing back to a painful memories is never that easy. "He died." He said in almost a whisper and Jungkook's eyes widen.

"Car accident." Jimin added and looks at Jungkook with a sad face. Now, that he decided to open up to the latter, he can't cover up his sadness with a smile anymore.

Jungkook's eyes soften and without a word, he pulls Jimin into a hug. He doesn't utter a word because he doesn't know what to say. He indeed feels a little envy of that person Jimin used to love. The pain in his eyes is just an obvious proof how much he loved that person.

"Do you know why a bunny lives on the moon?" He asks out of nowhere while gently patting the other's back. As out of the topic as it may seem, Jimin finds his voice and they way he said comforting. For him, the words he said is no difference to 'I am here now. You won't be lonely anymore.'

"I don't know." Jimin shrugs and buried his face on Jungkook's neck. Even Jungkook scent makes him feel appeased.

"Because he is the only companion of the moon. He is constantly pounding an elixir of life so they can live together for a long time." Jungkook utters as he gently sniffs Jimin's hair. "You are my moon Jimin and I'm your bunny." He whispers lovingly with his eyes closed.

"I will love you with all my heart until you forgot all the pain you have been through... I will love you so hard until your heart and mind will just be filled by me... and only me. I promise." He says and embraces him tighter. And that moment, Jimin feels like crying not because he is sad but because finally, someone have open the door and show him the way out of his own darkness. He lifts his hand and hug Jungkook too.

They stay like that for a while, sharing each others warmth as the place starts to get colder. "Thank you Jungkook ah," Jimin was about to close his eyes when he realized something. "Ah right! I didn't ask yours! What about your story, have you been in love before?"

Jungkook pouts a little disappointed when Jimin suddenly pulls himself out of their hug. "E-erm ... I don't think I've been in love before. You are my first." He says and pinch Jimin's cheeks.

Jimin gives him a dubious look.

"Naah~ you're lying."

"I'm not! Really!" Jungkook rebuffs with his hand waving infront of him. He is telling the truth but his expression says the opposite. It makes Jimin doubt him more.
