53. We Meet Again

Taehyung POV

Everything feels hazy. This silence makes me feel suffocated. As time passed and my steps gets louder as we follow Nagi on our way back to the mountain, I can feel my heart thumping harder.

After Nagi narrated everything, we just can't sit back and wait anymore. After signing the hospital waiver, Nagi was permitted to leave the hospital after 3 days. He had attempted to escape so many times though.

Police had searched and raid the corners of the mountain right after his testimony but was not able to find the culprit.

It is so frustrating.

How are they so good in hiding?

No days had passed that I hoped and prayed for Jimin and Jungkook safety. Wishfully thinking that the day will come that I will be able their smiles again.

Nagi. He's our only hope.

He finally agreed for us to accompany him to his home on one condition that only me and Hoseok can join him.

But there's still no assurance that Jimin and Jungkook will be there or if they are still alive. "I hope that those two made it there safely." Nagi said few hours ago in the car. "After all, my friend sacrificed his life for them." He added while seemingly looking at his own reflection on the glass window.

Wind gets colder as we climb higher the mountain. This feeling that so familiar gives me tickling happiness in my heart. Few memories of the past flashes back like a movie.

Jimin's pouty lips and cute annoyed face. How did I even dare forget that? I look around and saw the two highest peak facing each other. Yeah, we were once there and I was cowardly confessing my feelings at him cause I know he can't hear me. He was confused and clueless but all I remember is his smile.

I'll get to see that again, right?

Right, Jimin ah?

AUTHOR'S POV
"What's so funny Jimin ah?" Jungkook asks as he puts down the sack of newly harvested corn in the storage. Few corn hair was left sticking on the strands of his hair.

"N-nothing." Jimin bit his lips to suppress the laughter wanting to burst. He finds Jungkook's look funny. From the smaller size jumper that supposed to be a pants but ended up 5 inches short for him and a sprout that Jimin tied himself. Who thought Jungkook can look super cute?

Jungkook raised a brow and crossed his arm as he leans his shoulder on the wooden door. "Hey you've been making fun of me since we are at the farm." He said trying to intimidate the other. Rolling his tongue against his cheeks, and flexing some muscles on his arms. But as Jimin glance at him, a hearty laugh bursted.

"Pffft! Hahaha What's that on your nose? Are you a deer or something?" He teases.
"W-what?" Jungkook hastily wipes his nose but the black dirt spreads more on his cheeks.
"Eh? What the...? Where did this came from?" He dumbfoundedly look at his hands and around and finally saw a bundle of charcoal near the sack.

"Ugh..." Jungkook pouts and looks irritably at Jimin, who instantly wipes the jesting smile off his face. "My bad." He said sucking both of his plump lips together. His brows raised with apologetic eyes.

Jungkook heaves a sigh and walks toward Jimin. His eyes look cold and annoyed.

Jimin frowns with the sight. 'Did he really feel offended?' He thought and was about to apologize but before he can do so, Jungkook shouldered him and fill his cheeks with wood coal grime.

"Mmm...Yahmmm! Jungggkoongkmhm!" Jimin protests with all his might but Jungkook's more built and stronger grip don't allow him.

"Hahaha. Yup. Hahaha ! Now we're both good looking cutie pandas." He said in between pants as he couldn't hold his laughter as well.

Jimin manages to loosen his grip and escape. Both are almost out of breath from laughing. They run around like kids playing tag. "Yah! Jinjja Jungkook ah..." Jimin said with his whole body in defense but Jungkook seems not threaten.

"Yes love?" He teased. Jimin blushes with the newly heard endearment but of course none of it can be seen because of two round dark circles unevenly covering his cheeks.

Without a second word, Jungkook jumps over him and both plop on the ground. With him on top and Jimin lying on the ground still on defense. Laughing and defending himself at the same time.

Happy laughter fills the place,

Contagious giggles that can make anyone smile also with their hearts content...

They are both happy and no one, even in their imagination thought that this happiness could end...

With just a call from someone they least expected.

"J-Jungkook?"

Both abruplty stop and look astounded at the person who just call Jungkook.

"HYUNG?!!" Jungkook's gobsmacked face shine brightly soon as he recognized the person but Jimin, he couldn't move an inch. He remains lying with mind contemplating if what he's seeing is reality.

'T-Taehyung?'

'Hyung?'

Jungkook lets go of Jimin and give his brother a tight hug. "H-how did you get here? H-how...? You guys?... There are traps everywhere... A-Are you okay?" He asked without pausing. He still can't believe he is now seeing his brother in flesh.

Taehyung smiles softly and hugs Jungkook once again. "I'm glad you are safe." He mumbles to his ears before letting him go with a gentle pat on his back.

A genuine smile and his eyes finally meet Jimin. "Jimin ah." He calls in his deep manly voice and Jungkook looks at him confused.

"Y-You... you know Jimin?" He asked and all suddenly, his chest feels heavy.
