56. Fixed and Broken

Time passes by fast I didn't realize its the start of winter already. As first snowflakes lands on my eye, a smile purses on my lips.

People say that if you are out in the first snowfall with someone you like, true love will blossom between you and I wonder who among the people I'm with is my true love.

Camera flickers and I can hear Taehyun cheers for me. "Wow. That was beautiful! Hold up the natural smile." He says and I am taken back to reality.

We are on top of the snow-filled mountain. The weather was too cold and its not even snowing yet. The weather is really nice, cold and warm at the same time.

Months had passed since we come back to our usual lives. 

Everything comes back to normal,

But not for me and Jungkook.

-Flashback-
"Why did you choose me?" He mumbled as he tightly squeezed me closer and snuggle his face on my neck. Still, there was sadness in his voice.

"Why not?" I chuckled to lighten the mood while playing at some strands of his hair. Everything just came at us so suddenly, it hard to process all at once. For now, I'd like to think about us only.

"Don't you love my brother anymore?" A question that almost caught me off guard if not that I was kind of expecting it. He is my boyfriend after all, of course he will ask. He knew we hadn't had proper closure nor clear status of relationship. He just knew that I loved him.

"Taehyung ssi... it will never change the fact that he was my first true love..." I said and instantly felt the tension in Jungkook's body. I fondle his back gently and gave some small kisses on his shoulder as his face was still hiding on my neck. 

"...I loved him more than you could imagine. But I didn't know that time will come and I could love more than before. The moment he appeared in front of me, I thought all my feeling will come rushing back... but no, all I can think about is you. I was scared of my own feelings cause I might have hurt you." I said as I felt his hug tightened more.

"I have let go of him the moment I had said I love you Jungkook ah. I had choose you."

Jungkook didn't say a word after. When I check up on him, he already fell asleep. With his eyes shut close and mouth slightly open.

"Sleep well." I said and kissed his forehead.

The next day, our last day at the tribe, we bid goodbye and once again apologize most especially to Jin because we lied. It's unfortunate that Joon was still not coming home. I hope nothing bad happened to him.

"Thank you for everything." Jungkook politely bowed to everyone and I followed. Taehyung and the officer were already waiting on the foot of the mountain. Again, Jin did not allow any more stranger on their place and it's something that we fully respected.

I look at Jin and still, there was disappointment in his eyes but I took the courage to break the wall between us. I hugged him and thankfully, he didn't pushed me away. "Please take care of yourself, hyung. Thank you for everything." I said and my voice broke. My eyes started welling beads of tears. If I could stay here longer, I would. This place, although it was a short stay, becomes a home for me and Jungkook.

My eyes averted to Nagi and smiled. I came to hug him as well. "I owe you my life. I don't know how can I ever pay you back, but if you'll or the tribe will be needing anything don't hesitate to contact me." I whispered and give him my address and contact number written in a piece of paper. "Thank you." I said.
