"L-Let me go back to the mountain." Nagi pleaded. His eyes watered as he utters his words a little desperate. "M-my family. T-they're not safe there... P-please officer... " Hoseok gaze at him with an assuring smile as he holds Nagi's shoulder gently. "Of course. But first of all, you have to gain your strength."
"N-no! You don't understand. I-I have to go n-now!" Nagi shut his eyes out of frustration. He feels that the officer does not totally understand his situation. His friend already died in front of him. "P-please ... I will cooperate i-in everything... but please... Y-you have to let me go. N-Now." He says in between breaths.
"You ... w-want to know... who did this to me, right? ...You want to.. know w-what happened? I-I'll ... tell everything to you.. B-but you have to promise... that y-you'd let me go after I tell you all ...t-that I know."
Hoseok heaves a sigh and glance at Taehyung and back to Nagi. "Sir... yes I wanted to know but-"
"It was that night... w-when me and T-takahashi... was about to go to fetch some.. m-medicines and supply ... from the city when it happened.
"I-I will only tell you this o-once... If you d-don't let me go back... tonight. I'll find my own w-way to get out of here."
The officer is caught off guard. He knows that Nagi is dead serious. From the built of his body and the way he looks, he knows Nagi can do what he says as he pleases. Although living in the secluded mountain, he doesn't see him like those poor benighted people who lacks the knowledge of civilization. He may loose a chance for the important lead if he doesn't listen so he takes out his notes and the recorder.
-Flashback-
"Hey Nagger! Can't you walk slower? We're not in a rush anyways." Nagi's friend named Takahashi whined following the other lazily."Will you stop whingeing and get on with it? Can't you see how dark it is already? We could've saved some matchsticks if we left earlier." Nagi nagged and Takahashi rolled his eyes.
"No wonder they called you 'Nagi'. You're always nagging." He murmured but loud enough to hear by the other.
"I can hear you." The other said without looking back.
"I know." He chuckled.
The two continue walking but abruptly stop when they hear a gunshot from not so far. "What the hell?!" Takahashi muttered wide-eyed. Both of them were confused whether to come back but unfortunately they were already in the middle of their way.
Sound of broken twigs, swayed bushes and fast footsteps came nearer. "Shit," Both cursed simultaneously as they fastly hide themselves in the dark. Gladly, they were very familiar in the place and they know where to take cover.
Moonlight glimpse at the same time two unfamiliar faces appear in front of their way, hand in hand and badly wounded. Both were breathless and evidently in pain.
It was that split second and Nagi felt like he was deceived by his own eyes. When the moon shined on their faces, there was something he saw, something he didn't expected .
'Hope.'
It was written on their eyes.
Few minutes later and a disheveled man huffing and panting like crazy appeared. He was holding a gun and the button of his pants was still open. He angrily tossed his mask revealing the scars on his forehead. "Arggh! F*ck! Those shithead really ran fast! I should've just killed them earlier! D*mn!" He monologued while pulling his own hair out of frustration. "That good for nothing b*st@rd acting like a leader... and now what?! Sh..!" The man continued cursing as he makes his way back, kicking anything that on his way. "That b*st@rd better not be dead.."
