Nostalgia.
Is what Taehyung feels upon seeing a photo of Jimin with his grandma and the little girl. Far from a nerd look he has way back they were studying, Jimin looks at lot more different. His hair is dyed platinum blonde and already learn to wear colored contacts.
A faint smile crept into his face . He sure feels proud of Jimin but part of him misses the glasses boy he met that winter night.
After knowing that Jimin starts a new profession, Taehyung is a little surprised but didn't doubt the fact. Jimin always got the looks -- he thought.
"I wonder what he's doing right now." He said in almost a whisper while scanning the photos of Jimin he sent to his grandma. His words are soft but loud enough for Mrs. Park to hear.
A fascinated smile crept into the old lady's face. 'Taehyung must've forgotten his past but his heart remembers everything.' Mrs. Park knows how Taehyung works hard to remember his past. Even lost in the dark, Taehyung bravely trailed a long way back to them; back to Jimin.
"Taehyung ah." The older calls making the other flinch a little. "Y-yes?" He answers and looks at Mrs. Park. The little girl beside him is now putting some lipstick on his cheeks but Tae is not really bothered.
As soon as their eyes met, his heart instantly melt seeing the genuine smile painted on his grandma's face. "You know I like ya for Jimin, right?" She says and gives him a thumbs up. "Fighting!" She added with her eyes curved in crescents. Taehyung immediately feels the rush of heat climbing up to his face as his eyes widened.
"W-wh...w-what..." He stutters as he tries to find the right words to respond the nicest thing he had heard today but he's suddenly interrupted by the loud vibration and music playing coming from elder's phone.
🎶*Bzzzt bzzzt* I'm a Barbie girl, in the Barbie world *bzzzt bzzzt*🎶
Taehyung is at loss of words. He doesn't know if it's because of what she said or the ringtone of his 70 year-old grandma.
🎶*Bzzzt* Life in plastic, it's fantastic *bzzzt bzzzt*🎶
"Oh, who's this?" She asks seeing the unregistered number calling.
"Hello?"
"Hello. Is this Mrs.Park?" The deep unfamiliar voice asks. The seriousness on his voice makes the elder stiffened in her seat.
"Y-Yes."
"Sorry for the sudden call. I'm police officer Kim, I'm calling to check if Mr. Park Jimin is with you by any chance?"
"Jimin ah?" She asks in confusion. Taehyung's attention is automatically diverted to the elder just hearing Jimin's name. "Sorry but he hasn't visited me yet. I think it's more than a month now. Why?"
"Is that so?" The officer paused shortly. A deep sigh was then heard on the other line. "I'm sorry Mrs. Park but your grandson has been reported missing by one of his colleague. We have to confirm the facts before making a report, by now it's more than 24 hours since he was last seen with his photographer." The police said on the other line.
Mrs. Park froze.
Taehyung sees how fast her expression changes. The old lady is shock hearing the bad news so he takes the phone for her. "Hello? Mrs. Park, are you still there?" the man's worried voice can be heard over the line.
"Hello, I'm sorry. This is her grandson, may I know what's the problem?" Taehyung watch how his grandma's shoulder's drop. Instinctively, he gently reach for her hands and gently squeeze it to comfort her.
