Taehyung doesn't really know what comes into him or why is he sitting in a restaurant with this 'Officer Jeong' still smiling brightly at him even after cursing several times in his face.
The man literally popped in front of him and pulled him in the cafe nearby despite opposing about it several times. 'Must be because of the sleepless nights and no proper food that he already loses his own strength to argue' He thought as he sighs.
"Here, have some hot tea, and this cake..." Officer Jeong pauses and kisses the tips of his fingers. "The best." He remarks.
With his bright smile and light aura, the officer can surely persuade several customer to buy the not so special cake but Taehyung can't be lured. He scoffs and crosses his arms against his chest looking at the officer suspiciously.
"Is this some kind of bribe?" He bluntly asks squinting his eyes a little.
"Bribe?" The officer chuckles heartily to the point that it sounded a gleeful laugh.
"Officer bribing a complainant? Well, that's new." What the officer says is supposed to be sarcarstic but since the contagious smile is not brushing off his face it sounded like genuine.
"Who knows." Taehyung shrugs. "I'm at the point that I wanted to report your team to the higher ups for doing nothing." He spats and the officer almost chokes with the tea his drinking.
He carefully puts down the cup and saucer on the wooden table and gently wipes his heart-shape lips with a white newly-ironed handkerchief. The man's still smiling but Taehyung can't understand why he feels guilty all of a sudden.
"You see Mr. Kim, If you want to report it, you're free to do it but unlike what you're thinking, I'm not here to 'bribe' you." Officer Jeong says emphasizing the word. He heaves a sigh but his aura never darkens. He gently push the cake and tea closer to him and smiles genuinely. "Eat some." The officer smiles again before speaking. "I assure you we are doing our very best to find your friend and your brother. That's our responsibility." Taehyung shut his eyes as he raises an eyebrow. That's what he just heard from the young officer he has spoken a while ago. He was about to open his mouth and rants but he was cut off by a beguiling smile of the officer when he opens his eyes. Taehyung can't understand how the officer calms him down with just a freaking smile!
"T-t-that was n-nonsense!" He stutters and no way he doesn't find himself stupid right now.
But Officer Jeong doesn't mind what he just uttered, instead, he leans closer. His arms are crossed against his chest as he smiles genuinely at him. "Your health is important too. You should eat now, your brother and that friend of yours wouldn't be happy if they find you sick when they finally come back." He says. What the officer said are pure and genuine. He had watch Taehyung skipping his meal and loosing sleep just to watch over them and ask for updates about Jimin and Jungkook. On the sad note, he can't blame him.
It's been a week and he can't help himself to worry. The officer is keeping an eye on Taehyung. At first, it was just an annoying request from an annoying sister but as time goes by, the officer finds himself worrying for him on his own.
Strange.
But he just goes with the flow.
It's just the kind of person he is. He doesn't dwell too much on things and accepts whatever fate gives him. 'Less stress, more happiness' is sole motto in life and the main reason why he has this bright aura around him.
