A second chance

Chapter 7

Logan asked Suryeon to talk along with her daughter. At first Suryeon was kinda nervous and hesitant about this but she was left with no choice.

Suryeon and Chaeyoung went together to a fancy restaurant in the evening and waited for Logan to come. Chaeyoung enjoyed the cake that Suryeon ordered, then Logan came.

"So he is the one we will meet today, eomma?" Chaeyoung said while looking sadly at her mom.

"Chaeyoung-ah..." Suryeon said and Chaeyoung strood up and ran outside the restaurant. Suryeon was about to follow her when Logan stopped her.

Logan followed Chaeyoung , and Chaeyoung knew that he was following her. She faced him.

"Ahjussi, can you stop following me?" Chaeyoung said and crossed her arms.

"Logan Ahjussi is not a bad person. I am sorry for almost hitting your mom last time. Can you forgive me? What do you want? Ice cream? Or you want me to bring you to the zoo tomorrow?" Logan said with his jolly voice.He leveled himself with the kid so that they could talk to each other properly, while from afar Suryeon was looking at them.

"Are you sure you won't hurt my mother?" Chaeyoung curiously asked.

" Of course I won't hurt your mother. " Logan assured the kid.

"Then I want ice cream." Chaeyoung demanded. Logan carries her like his own child.

" Okay let's go." For the first time in Logan's life he felt the genuine happiness that he has been looking for since before. Both Chaeyoung and Logan went to an Ice cream shop and bought ice cream. They also didn't forget to buy ice cream for Suryeon.

While they were buying an ice cream, on the other side, Suryeon was waiting for them at the bench when a man came and stood in front of her, she looked up and smiled after seeing the man standing in front of her.

"Oppa." She smiled and hugged her older brother tightly.

"How are you today? Where is my niece?" He asked with concern. Suryeon saw that Logan was coming together with Chaeyoung with their ice cream in their hands. She pointed it out and Jinhu looked at what she was pointing at.

" Logan?" Jinhu said. He looked at her.

"You know him?" Suryeon asked.

"Of course, he will be my soon to be brother in law. He and Jiwon will get married." Jinhu said that it made Suryeon shocked. Her eyes widened.

" What?! Oppa, I have something to tell you." Suryeon started speaking when Logan interrupted them by calling her......

"Yeobo!!!" Logan shouted, which made Suryeon and her brother shocked.

Logan came with Chaeyoung and he saw Jinhu.

"Jinhu-ssi." He said and smiled.

"Oppa I'll tell you something but not here." Suryeon said and held his brother's wrist.

"Logan-ssi, can you please bring Chaeyoung back. I have to talk with my brother first and I have to say something to you later on." Suryeon said and left with his brother.

"What was that Suryeon-ssi?" Jinhu anxiously and curiously asked.

"Oppa, can you please calm down." Suryeon said.

"I'll explain it to you. Logan and I had an agreement exchanged between my liver and her mother's life. Just keep this as a secret. I won't receive any money if ever the surgery won't continue. Oppa, jebal don't tell anyone about this." Suryeon begging her brother. Jinhu just shrugged his head after hearing those words from his sister,

"You can just ask for money from me, Suryeon-ah." Jinhu said.

"No! I can't do that. As you said, appa is currently holding your money. He will know if ever you spend it with something not related to your business. So I can't ask. As well as that I am not part of the family anymore. Our marriage will end soon after the surgery. We'll get divorce, Jiwon unnie will be able to get married with that man." Suryeon explained.

"But what if you'll never be able to divorce him?" Jihun said being worried about his sister's wellbeing.

"Oppa, stop.. Of course I'll be able to divorce him. Stop thinking about anything else." Suryeon said.

Jihun embraced his sister. And kiss her hair.

"I'll always be on your side no matter what happen, Suryeon-ah dongsaeng." Jinhu said.

"Oppa, I'll have to go back, Chaeyoung must be waiting for me." Suryeon said and smiled towards her brother, and bid goodbye.

She went back to the room they are currently living in and saw Logan with Chaeyoung sleeping on his lap.

"Yah!" Suryeon whispered.

"Wae?(Why?)" Logan said and placed Chaeyoung carefully in the bed. And went to Suryeon.

Suryeon pulled him to the side and spanked him on his shoulder.

"You are the one who told me not to get caught and be careful with my words. But you are the one who made us be caught in an act,Logan. Stop making any confusion after the divorce, you will get married with my sister." Suryeon said and was about to go inside the room when Logan pulled her.

"Wae? What do you need?" Suryeon asked and looked at the hands that were holding her back.

Logan let go of the hands and just shrugged his head.

The next morning, Suryeon started working again when a familiar woman walked inside the cafe and looked for Logan.

"Excuse me, is Logan Lee here?" It was Suryeon's sister, Jiwon.

Suryeon was shocked at the moment and ran upstairs and called Logan.

"Logan!!! My sister is here. And she is looking for you. Come on you have to go down. " Suryeon immediately went inside Logan's room and was shocked to see Logan without a shirt, in short he was half-naked.

"Yah! Shim Suryeon, what are you doing here?" Logan said, covering his top with a shirt.

"My gosh, this is so unexpected. Come on! " Suryeon said and hid for a while. Logan went downstairs and met Jiwon there.

"What are you doing here, Jiwon-ah?" Logan said and approached Jiwon.
"What took you so long? I was about to go upstairs. Are you that busy? We can just talk at your office." Jiwon said and was about to go upstairs when Logan stopped her.

"Aniyo!!" Logan slightly maximizes his voice towards Jiwon.

"But why?" Jiwon asked and looked at him curiously.

"I like the ambiance here more than my office." Logan excused and Jiwon nodded.

Suryeon was looking at them from afar.
