A second chance

Chapter 10

Logan brought Suryeon to the hospital, Chaeyoung never leaves her mom side. Suryeon opened her eyes, and realized that she was brought to the hospital. She immediately removed the IV connected to her and stood up from the hospital bed.

"Suryeon, you still need to be examined." Logan stops her, but Suryeon refuses.

"I'm sorry, Sir. But I can't stay here any longer. Let's go, Chaeyoung-ah." Suryeon replied and held Chaeyoung's hand carefully.

"Suryeon-ssi.." Logan pleads to let Suryeon stay and get examined. But Suryeon insisted on going home.

Suryeon doesn't want her illness to be discovered by anyone. So she chose not to stay at the hospital.

Suryeon-ssi went home to to take a rest.

"Eomma, are you okay?" Chaeyoung was worried about her mother's situation.

"You are very sick right now." Chaeyoung said, Suryeon only smiled at her.

Logan went back too. He was worried that Suryeon would be unconscious again. So he knocked on their door.

"Ahjussi." Chaeyoung stood up and opened the door.

Logan went inside and he saw that Suryeon was really ill. He checks her up. Suryeon was awake and was just looking at Chaeyoung and Logan taking care of her.

"You might fall ill more if you are not covered enough." Logan said and put a scarf in Suryeon's neck and covered her with blanket.

The next morning, Suryeon woke up feeling more okay and she saw that Chaeyoung was sleeping on Logan's lap. Logan stayed up the whole night to take care of sick Suryeon. Logan moved a little bit so Suryeon felt tense and lay back down.

She acted like she was sleeping so that both her and Logan wouldn't feel awkward at all.

Logan wakes up and he sees Suryeon sleeping deeply. He laid Chaeyoung properly on the floor and stared for a moment at Suryeon's beautiful face. After that he stood up and when he opened the door he was shocked to see his friend, Hojoon.

"God, Logan. What are you doing inside their room?" Hojoon said in surprise.

"Suryeon is kinda sick so do not let her work today." Logan mysteriously smiled sweetly at Hojoon.

The day went well for both Logan and Suryeon with their personal life. They are in preparation for the surgery. Suryeon gets better, she starts working again, Logan and Suryeon go to so many busy schedules regarding the surgery. The interview happened, confirming that they are going to do the surgery legally.

These past few weeks have driven Suryeon and Logan to a much closer relationship. Chaeyoung and Logan were already close to each other.

Talking about Suryeon's brain tumor, it is getting worse knowing that she did not start the radiotherapy yet she was more busy with the surgery. As much as she wanted to tell her family and even ask for money, she can't, she doesn't have enough courage to ask for money. And she promises to herself that she will help herself get through everything. No one knows about her brain tumor aside from her friend, Miran. Whom very silent with Suryeon's brain tumor. She promised to her friend, Suryeon. As mucha s she wants to seek for help too. She can't break the promise and the deal they made together.

Flashback

" Miran-ah, if ever I will leave without any words, if ever the day comes that I will never appear in front of you nor be able to talk personally to you. Please take care of my kid, please take care of my Chaeyoung. I was able to live because of her." Suryeon said while holding her friend's hand. Miran put away Suryeon's hand.
