Chapter 26

Logan was in his father's company, because James was looking for him.

"Appa." he went inside his father's office, and he also saw his mom.

"What are you doing here, eomma?" Logan asked because he was curious.

"I talked to your father about you." Stella said.

"Son, I apologize for being an immature father to you. I once saw you with Suryeon's daughter. And I saw how much you took care of them which I never did to you." Logan lifted his head up and went closer to his father.

"I never have a grudge against you, just like how Suryeon never blamed and got mad at his family. Besides, whatever happens to me it is all because of my choice, not because of you nor mom. I have forgiven you for not being a responsible and good father to me, but I am still mad at you for not being an irresponsible husband to my mom." Logan looked at his parents.

"I also apologized to your mom because of that. And I actually decided to pursue your mother once again, just like how you never gave up with Suryeon." James said and looked at Stella with the same eyes on how they met a long time ago. The same eyes who fall in love with the woman he loves.

"What about Hyung?" Logan was still concerned with his older brother after everything he did to him.

"He is currently paying for what he did to our company and to you. And besides, he wasn't really my son, his mother just told me that he was my son to get money from me." James revealed.

"But he is still my brother. Appa, tell the police right now that don't give him a hard time in jail. Okay?" Logan said.

"You really have a good heart, like your mother. By the way, how's Suryeon?" James said and Stella also asked about Suryeon.

"Aigoo.... How's Suryeon, Logan?"

"She is fine. We are actually living under one roof now." Both were shocked upon the sudden news, but they knew that Logan is not that young anymore. They were talking about Suryeon when Logan's phone rang.

He answered the phone, and the next thing happened was like a world collapsing unto him.

"Appa, eomma... Suryeon-ssi." He can't even utter the words he wants to say.

"Why? What happened? Let's go..." James said and both Logan and Stella followed him.

While they were in the car, Logan couldn't think properly. His mother just patted his back.

"Suryeon will be okay. She is a strong woman. She'll be okay." She is trying to lessen the nervousness that Logan feels.

"Your mom is right, Logan. Suryeon is a strong woman. It's in their blood. Look at her grandfather, still strong even though he is already 85 years old. " James said. They reach the hospital, and Logan immediately looks for Suryeon.

"Suryeon-ssi!" Then he saw Suryeon's family on the side talking to the doctor.

"Where is she? Where is my wife?" Logan intervenes.

"She is currently in the Emergency room. We are waiting for you, since you are the husband. We need your consent for the Surgery to happen." The doctor said, The doctor didn't know they got divorced, in the hospital's records they are still married.

"She will be fine, right? My wife will be fine, right?" Logan said, trying to hold back his tears. The doctor was just silent. Logan was waiting for an assurance and affirmation from the doctor.

"How is my wife? Is she okay? She will not leave tonight, right? Tell me!" Logan can't hold back his anger.
"Logan calm down!" Jinhu tries to calm him down.
"Mr. Lee, your wife will be okay, don't worry. I will try to save her." The doctor said. Logan looked at her.
"What do you mean to try?" Logan said, still confused with the situation. All he thinks right now is all the possibilities that the woman he loves will leave with no proper goodbyes.
"Her situation right now is fatal. There is liquid inside her brain and we must remove that first. It's her will to live. But right now all I want to remind you is not to hope for anything else, but just calm down and trust me. I will do my best to save my patient. Sign this first, so we can proceed to the operating room." Logan signed the consent paper, everyone was looking at him. Shim Suryeon's family is trying to be strong for each other. While James and Stella were just looking after their son.
