Chapter 22

They spent one more day and went back after. Logan dropped Suryeon on her mother-in-law's house to also fetch Suryeon; after that Logan directly went back to his cafe.

He was about to enter his cafe when he noticed a familiar man, the loan shark. He heard him talking to someone and even talking about Suryeon.

"Sir, she is not here. I cannot even contact her. What do you want me to do?" The loan shark said while talking to his phone. Logar went near to him, and slightly pushed him.

"Yah!! Why are you talking about Suryeon? Who are you talking to?!" He was slightly mad, his employees saw him approaching the man, Logan punched him hard, and grabbed his collar.

"Tell me! Are you the one who kept on threatening us?!" Logan said madly. The employees stopped them and pinned the loan shark to the car, while Logan got his phone and saw his brother's name. He was driven by anger. He went to his house. It's been a week since he visited the house.

Exactly at that time, his brother was outside, he immediately hopped out of the car, and grabbed his brother's collar.

"Hyung! I told you not to do anything. I even remember how much I begged you not to touch Suryeon." Logan said while gritting his teeth out of anger.

"Ya! Logan!! I was the one who begged you first not to get my position as the CEO. But what did you do?!" Logan smirked at him.

"I didn't get it, it was given to me, because dad knew that you don't deserve that position at all." Logan answered back, Alex was strong enough to push him. Alex punched him hard, that made him fall on the floor, when LOgan was about punched back, a man came and stopped them from fighting.

"Now I know you are the mastermind behind all the crazy rumors about Logan! Get out of my place right now!!!" James was mad.

A woman in a very fancy cloth came.

"You dare to hurt my son, you never treated him right." It was Alex's real mother, after that Stella also came, seeing his son having a wound on the lower lip. Her first instinct was to rush towards Alex. But Logans stopped her.

" Eomma! Aniya. " Logan said.

"But look at your face, there's a wound." Stella said. Logan just smiled and told her mother to just go. Logan and Stella leave, leaving the three behind.

"Are you now okay, eomma? You don't feel anything?" Logan said with concern.

"Gwaenchana..How about you? I heard Suryeon is sick." The mood of the conversation suddenly became quiet and awkward.

"Eomma." Logan's voice was so obvious that he didn't want to talk about it.

Stella reached her son's hand.

"I know Suryeon is a good woman, she has a very adorable daughter. But this time, I can't support you. It is very difficult. And I don't want to see my son suffering." Logan stopped the car at the side.

"Eomma..." Logan said.

"Logan! How many years..." Logan cut her mom off. He looked at her with pain in the eyes.

"How can you ask me that? You are safe, and you're now cured. So is she. I believe in that, eomma." Logan said. Stella just shrugged her head and patted Logan's back. She couldn't do anything, she knew that Logan really loves Suryeon.

Suryeon dialed Logan..

"Logan.. Do you want to eat dinner here at my friend's place?" She asked while buying groceries.

"Of course." Logan said while wiping his tears.

Then after that Suryeon ended the call.

The evening had come and Suryeon was cooking in the kitchen preparing for dinner. Chaeyoung was talking to her when she suddenly felt weak.

"Chaeyoung, go to your Aunt Miran first. Leave now, faster."

"Eomma, are you okay? Eomma." Chaeyoung was worried for her mom.

"Chaeyoung-ah! Faster, leave this room now!" She has no intention to shout but she doesn't want her daughter to see her in this kind of situation.

Good thing, Miran came and carried Chaeyoung out of the kitchen, and at the same time Logan came and greeted Suryeon first.

"O, chaeyoung-ah, what happened? Why are you crying?" While pinching Chaeyoung's chubby cheeks.

"I think you should ask the person inside. I think she needs you." Miran said. Logan immediately went inside, and he saw Suryeon sitting on the side, while touching her slightly burnt palm.

"Yah, are you that excited to see me?" Logan said trying to lighten up the mood, but the truth is his heart was breaking seeing Suryeon's body getting weak day by day. He sat beside her, and Suryeon looked at him.

"Maybe I was just really excited to see you." Suryeon said.

Logan got a bowl and put ice and water inside it, then after that Logan get Suryeon's hand and treated it with the cold water.

They don't know what they are thinking, but Logan just suddenly lifts Suryeon's chin, and gives her a kiss on the lips. And hug her tight.

"As long as I am here, you will never be alone." Logan uttered, he is just so soft for Suryeon, that he can't help but to get teary-eyed knowing and worrying that anytime Suryeon might disappeared.

Logan helped Suryeon to stand up, and Logan took care of the foods that were prepared on the table. Miran took Chaeyoung out first, and gave time and space for Logan and Suryeon.

While they were eating, Suryeon was just staring at Logan.

"Why are you staring at me, Suryeon-ssi?" Logan said and smiled.

Logan's hand was on the table, Suryeon touched it and held it tight.

"Logan.." Logan looked at her and saw Suryeon's eyes looking at him with so much emotions.

"If ever the time comes that I have to leave those precious people in my life, I want you to find someone who can love you for a lifetime and can give you the family that you always dream of. But I have some favor.." Logan looked at her, he doesn't want to talk about this kind of thing, he doesn't want to talk about her possible death. He doesn't like it, it hurts him so much.

" I want you to look over Chaeyoung, you can visit ehr anytime. Love her as much as you love me. She already lost her father, and I am afraid to lose her mother too." She continued. Logan doesn't feel right with this kind of situation.

"Suryeon-ssi! Can you please stop talking about death? Death? What is death? You will not die. Remember I talk to some excellent doctors in America to treat you. I will save you, Suryeon-ssi!" Again Suryeon saw how Logan didn't want to talk about it. Logan stood up because of anger. Suryeon-ssi grabbed his hand, and stood up to. She caressed his face, and looked at him with her beautiful eyes. She caressed his face softly. And tiptoed and reached for Logan's lips. She kissed him softly. Logan's tears fall down uncontrollably. And for the first time he cried on Suryeon's shoulder.

"Saranghae, Suryeon-ah. I will never let you go." Suryeon tapped his back.

"Nado saranghae, Logan." She said and looked at him again.

" You will always be the one whom I am going to love 'till the end of my time." Suryeon uttered. Logan looked at her full of love.

Their faces got closer and closer till their lips were just one inch apart, Logan grabbed her on the waist and kissed her deeply and passionately.
