Chapter 14

Logan had a conference meeting in Jeju, he was assigned to be the one to attend the meeting, he was about to decline but something pushed him to go.

The first day of the conference meeting ended well. He was roaming around the seashore, when he saw a familiar figure, looking at the beautiful sunset that can be seen and be viewed in the beautiful sea of Jeju. The woman exactly turned her gaze to his direction so that it made him confirm that it was her.

"Suryeon-ssi!!" He ran towards her but she ran away from him.

"Wait, Suryeon-ssi." He was able to catch her but he was shocked to see how everything on her physical figure changed.

"You look more skinny than before, Suryeon-ssi. How are you?" Suryeon was reminded by the words that her daughter had mentioned the last day.

It echoes into her mind, she was just staring at Logan not until Logan snapped his finger that made her go back to her senses.

"I am fine, Logan." Suryeon answered the question and planned to leave.

"You keep on calling me but now I am in front of you, you are neglecting me? That's bad, Suryeon-ssi." Logan teased but it didn't make Suryeon smile so he was silent for a second.

"Give me the divorce I want, Logan. Your father has been contacting me all the way here that I have to block his number. I am calling you because I am seeking a divorce and not your arrogant attitude." Suryeon said and left.

"You are so stupid, Logan." He said to himself. Once again he saw her walking away from him.

Suryeon can't sleep because of what had happened to her earlier. She is making her daughter sleep. They are planning to go back to the city next week because the doctor attending her for her radiotherapy had an appointment outside Korea so her doctor referred her to a city doctor.

She can't sleep so she just made herself busy by packing her and Chaeyoung clothes and putting them in her luggage. She has already resigned from the cafe that she is working at in Jeju.

One week had passed, and the communication between Logan and Suryeon started to go back to normal. Suryeon didn't reject her phone calls and the same with Logan too.

He was just smiling downwards at the cafe when a woman stopped in front of him. It was Jiwon.

"Logan, can we talk?" Logan was about to neglect her once again. But he saw her eyes asking for some time,asking for someone to listen to her.

" Okay." He answered. They talked on the bench outside the cafe.

"Logan, can't you just divorce her?" She started,

"I am divorcing her..." Jiwon smiled upon hearing those words from him.

"But don't expect that I will get married to you. The wedding was cancelled and never going to happen. Do not hurt yourself just because you fall in love with someone like me, Jiwon-ah. My heart only beats for that woman. I never love her because she is part of the Shim family but because she is Suryeon regarding what last name she might have. I hope you find someone who can love you as much as I love her." Logan said. He gave her handkerchief to the crying Jiwon.

Suryeon was from afar looking at the two talking to each other. Logan left Jiwon alone on the bench while Suryeon went towards her and sat beside her. Jiwon raised her head and saw a person whom she never expected to see. Jiwon was about to stand up when Suryeon held her hand.

"Unnie.." Her sweet voice, Jiwon might not be close to her younger sister but she dreamt to have a good moment with her. She looked at Suryeon with unpredicted emotion in her eyes.

"Do you hate me that much? If you hate me, I am so sorry. I don't know what I did to you but I am so sorry for everything I have done either it was wrong or right." Suryeon started, Jiwon was just staring at her sister.

"Of course I hate you. You have everything even if you don't have the wealth and money..." She was cut off by Suryeon.

"But having a good life and happiness is not about having a lot of money and having the wealthiest family, unnie." Suryeon explained, Jiwon was stunned by the words coming from her sister's mouth.

"You have Logan's heart, how can I not hate you? I met him first before you but he ended up falling in love with you." Jiwon reasoning out her hate towards her sister.

"But you cannot force someone to love you back when their heart beats for someone else." Suryeon said she embraced her sister and Jiwon was trying to break the hug but ended up sobbing.

"I hate you no.. I hate myself because I can't be the older sister I am supposed to be." Jiwon repents for everything she did to her sister. Suryeon looks at her sister, she raises her chin.. She traced her face with her finger.Jiwon felt weird but somehow she felt love in the way she is doing it.

'If the time comes, that I might never be able to see your face, know where you are, remember your name. I want you to know that there's no day that I didn't wish from the heaven above that I hope someday we will meet and forgive each other. I never hated you for how you treated me before because mom once told me how you played with me when I was a baby. This is the first time I will utter these words to you..." Suryeon paused for a moment and once again embraced her sister.

"I love you, Jiwon unnie." Jiwon cried and sobbed harder because of those words. Neither of the people she knows have ever told her that they love her only Suryeon, the sister that she hated for a long time.
