Chapter 9

Stella was brought back to the hospital and Logan dropped Suryeon off to her friend's house.

The next morning, Logan saw Suryeon with Chaeyoung, he ran fast towards the two.

"Ahjussi!!" Chaeyoung was so happy to see Logan. Logan carried her and they went upstairs, while they were walking, Suryeon felt a slight dizziness, she almost lost her balance fortunately she was able to help herself. Logan noticed that.

"Suryeon-ssi,are you okay?" Logan asked in concern, Chaeyoung also looked at her mother

"Eomma, are you okay?"

"Gwaenchana, Logan, Chaeyoung-ah" Suryeon said and smiled and continued to walk upstairs.

"How's your mom, Logan?" Suryeon asked. Logan looked at her.

"She's fine. The surgery might be postponed for days because she's sick." Suryeon nods and continues playing with her daughter.

"Suryeon-ssi, can we talk for a moment?" Logan asked while looking for the perfect timing to talk to her. He was about to speak when he received a call from his father.

"Wait a minute, Suryeon-ssi." Logan said and excuse himself.

Logan answered his phone and a loud voice came from another line.

" Come here at my office right now, Logan!" His father's voice makes him scared in horror. He knew what this thing would be about, he had to be ready. He hopped onto his car and started driving; Suryeon saw him leaving.

He arrived at their house and as soon as he entered the main door, he received a punch from his brother.

" So this may be the reason why you were always declining the meeting between our family and the Shim family." His father was mad at him and threw the paper that was in his hand.

"Divorce that woman right now!" James continued.

" I did that for a reason." Logan answered back and tried to stand up.

"Logan! Do not dare to answer back our father!." His brother who hates him the most intervenes.

"Abeoji! I did that for eomma. I know you know about her illness but you don't even care at all. So I made my own way and made sure she would be treated properly." Logan said and tears slowly fell down on his eyes.

"Eomma? What happened to our mother Logan?" Alex grabbed his collar and tried to act like he was angry.

Logan pushed him away.

" Stop acting like you do not know, Hyung." Logan said, James Lee was just staring at Logan.

"I'll divorce her after the surgery. I promise. We don't have any special connection, I will continue my marriage with Jiwon." Logan said and left. He went inside his car and sighed deeply. He looked at the mirror and saw the effect of his father's punch.

He went back to his mini office, and saw that Chaeyoung was playing with her cats.

"Are you happy with your cats, Chaeyoung-ah?" Logan said in a sweet voice. When Chaeyoung heard Logan's voice, she turned around and Logan approached him and kissed her on the hair.

"Where is your mom?" Logan asked.

"Eomma?" Logan nods.

"Ahhh, she just went outside for a while to buy me ice cream and food for my cats." Chaeyoung said while caressing her cats.

As they were talking, Suryeon finally came back. Suryeon gave the ice cream and the food Chaeyoung's cats to Chaeyoung. Logan was about to go back to his office, when Suryeon grabbed his arm, Logan was surprised, Suryeon lifted his chin to look at Logan's face straightly.
