Chapter 7

Isabelle

I told tita Irene that I needed to end the call already because someone already knocked on my door and when I opened it, it was Sister Anabelle and Sister Theressa.

"Ah, may kailangan po kayo?" I asked them, I feel so nervous while asking them that, a lot of things were running though my mind because it's really rare for them to visit someone in their room kasi pinapapunta nila ito sa opisina.

"May gusto ka bang sabihin saamin, anak?" Sister Theressa asked me softly, she's calm but my hands are literally shaking na para bang may kasalanan ako.

"Um, o-opo.." I said and smiled at them, I'm really nervous now, I don't know how to start.

I swear, this is very nerve-wracking.

"C-can we talk po?" I asked them shyly, I know they want me to feel comfortable while talking to them and I'm trying my best pero hindi talaga e, pinangungunahan ako ng hiya.

"Oo naman, halika, saan mo gustong mag-usap?" sister Theressa said as smiled at me, I smiled back, of course.

"Dito nalang po sa loob." I replied softly, I opened the door widely so they could enter our room.

"Sister, um ano po kasi-"

"Hija, don't be nervous, we will listen." Sister Anabelle encouraged me as she flashed a smile that made me somehow calm, hindi pa naman nila ako napapagalitan kasi 'yan yung pinaka iniiwasan ko.

"Tine, relax.." Sister Theressa added, I just don't want them to say no kasi alam kong masasaktan ako at magtatampo pero hindi ko naman sasabihin ito, kaya kung hindi man ako payagan sana maintindihan ko.

I breathed-out, "Sister, meron po kasing nag-offer saaking mag-aral sa Music School nila, sabi din po niya na sakanya na daw din po ako tumira, nagbabaka sakali lang po ako kung papayagan niyo po ako, pero kung bawal po, okay lang naiintindihan ko." I conveyed softly, itinuloy tuloy ko na ito.

"Sino ba 'yan? At bakit napaka-bait. Tine, alam kong gustong-gusto mong mag-aral dun, hindi ka naman namin pagbabawalan, anak, pero bilang mga tumatayong magulang mo, hangad namin na mapabuti ka, malaman at masisigurado namin na ligtas ang iyong paroroonan." Sister Anabelle said as she gesture to me sit beside them, she held my hands and caressed it.

"Kailangan muna namin makausap ang nag offer sayo niyan, Belle, bago ka namin payagan. Sino nga ba siya, anak?" Sister Theressa asked, I know they'll be surprise kapag sinabi ko kung sino, sino ba naman kasi ako para bigyan ng ganitong blessing galing kay Ms. Irene.

"S-si Ms. Irene Marcos-Araneta po." I uttered, I saw how shocked they were when I told them who.

"Si Ms. Irene nga ba?" Sister Theressa asked still in shocked.

"Opo.."

"Pano nangyari 'to, Tine?" Sister Anabelle asked, hindi ako nagdalawang isip and I told them the whole story, from the very beginning and the whole information about it.

"Yun nga ba? Oh siya, kailangan parin namin siyang makausap." Sister Anabelle said, I smiled lightly as I gently nodded.

"Papuntahin mo muna siya dito at siya ang magpaalam saamin." Sister Theressa said, this is why I admire both of them, walang sinasantong tao, mabait sila sa mabait at nirerespeto nila ito pero hindi kailanman nila tinignan ang kung sino bilang mataas o mababa sa kanila.
