As time goes by, mas lumalala na yung sakit ni mommy.
And if you're wondering where my dad is, wala na kaming balita sakanya simula nung lumayas kami sa bahay. Hindi niya alam na may sakit si mommy, ang alam niya lang ay na-hospital siya, he didn't even bother to visit my mom here, tsk.
I'm in the couch sitting, looking at my mom who's weak and pale laying on the hospital bed. Kate is out to buy food for us to eat. I saw my mom gently opened her eyes so I immediately went to her as I held her hand.
"Mom, how are you feeling?" I asked, worriedly.
I am a mama's boy, obviously. My mom has been also my strength, protector and inspiration. She never failed to make me smile whenever I hear her laugh because it's so rare for her to laugh.
"Kuya..." she whispered as tears escaped in her looking weak eyes.
"Hindi ko alam kung aabot pa ako hanggang bukas, I'm so tired."
"If ever I die later, remember what I told you. Take care of your sister and yourself, wag mong hahayaang may mangyaring masama sainyong dalawa. Forgive your dad, dahil kahit anong mangyari tatay mo parin siya. Sorry if I was weak and if you think hindi ako lumaban I want you to know that I did, I tried my best but I'm so tired already. Please let mama go.." She whispered, breathing heavily while crying, I don't know what to say because I can't. Hindi ko kayang mawala siya sa buhay namin, we still needs her. I hug her so tight as she hugged me back.
I felt that her hands became heavy in on my back, I looked at her and her eyes are already closed. I looked at the heartbeat monitor as it starting to form a line. I hurriedly get out of the room to call a doctor as they immediately head their way here.
"Kuya, what happened?" Kate asked, trembling, I looked at her with weary eyes as I hug her so tight. Nabitawan niya yung dala niyang pagkain nung na-realize niya yung nangyayari. She started crying while we're watching how the doctors tried their best to revive our mom.
The doctor looked at us as she shook her head, "I'm sorry, we did our best but your mom can't make it." She uttered.
"Time of Death, 9:14 a.m." The doctor proclaimed, I want to breakdown but this isn't the time, I need to be strong for my sister like what I promised my mom.
"No mama, no!" Kate yelled as she hardly pushed me and went to our mom as she hug her.
"Condolences.." The doctors and nurse told us as they head their way outside of the room, I slowly walked towards my mom's dead body as my tears starting to flow. My sister is staring blankly at our mom. I held my mom's hand as I kissed it a couple of times.
"No more pain now ma, I-I love you mommy. Don't worry about me and Kate, we'll take care of each other. Thank you for fighting for us." I whispered to her ears and I kissed her forehead, I told Kate to stay with mom first while I process all the needed papers for her wake.
From: Attorney Sandoval
Good morning, Mr. Martinez. I heard the news, sorry for your loss. May your mother's soul rest in peace, I know this isn't the right time to talk to you but can we meet? May importante lang sana akong sasabihin, your sister and you sana.
To: Attorney Sandoval
Okay, let's meet in Starbucks here in QC.
After I processed all the papers, I paid our bills and went directly to Starbucks, I wear a mask because the media already knows what happened to my mom and for sure my dad already knows the news too, I saw Atty. Sandoval waiting for me, he stood up as we handshake.
"I'm sorry, ako lang yung nakapunta, yung kapatid ko kasi yung nagbabantay kay mommy." I told him.
"No problem.." He said as he handed me an envelope.
"What's this?" I asked as I carefully opened the envelope.
"That's your mom's last will and testament. She made sure that you and your sister can provide your needs. Hindi niya hinayaang umalis siya ng hindi siya sigurado na mapapabuti kayo kaya't yan." He stated.

"Ako na ang bahalang magprocess ng mga papel para mailipat ko sa pangalan mo ang mga property na iniwan ng mama mo sayo pati narin yung kay Kate. Yung 250 Million each, ipapa-transfer ko narin sa mga bank accounts niyo." He told me.
I nodded, "Thank you, attorney." I exclaimed.
He nodded as he stood up, "Mauna na ako, my condolences again." He uttered as he offered his hand for a handshake which I gladly accepted, bumalik na din ako sa hospital, I kissed my mom's forehead bago siya kunin ng mga mag-aayos sakanya.
After an hour, I can't help but to shed tears when I saw my mom inside a casket. I kissed her coffin before we head to the chapel where her wake will be.
