We're all at the dining table eating our lunch. They're talking about politics, as always. I noticed that Isabelle is quiet. She's beside me.
"Are you okay, sweetie?" I whispered and I caressed her back.
"Yes tita, I'm not fond of politics lang po talaga kaya wala po akong maisasabi pag about sa politics." She replied and smiled.
Our voice are low, whispering to each other, we don't want to caught their attention.
"Oh, among all my siblings, ako lang yung hindi din mahilig sa politics. I never dreamed to be a politician too after all that I've experience." I told her bitterly but I smile.
"Yeah, its too obvious tita." She replied and chuckled too. We continue to eat and we don't have a choice but to listen on what they're talking.
"Mukhang bored na bored na yung dalawa ah." Manang suddenly uttered, everyone looked at us. Isabelle and I smiled at them awkwardly.
"Hija, ikaw din ba walang hilig sa politics?" Mama Meldy asked Isabelle.
"U-uh wala po eh, I don't engage myself to politics." She replied, respectfully.
"Why don't you try? Babagay sayo yun for sure.." Matthew said.
"Uh, I-I don't have any taste to politics po and I don't see myself being a politician." She replied politely.
"Parang si Irene lang." Manang exclaimed.
"Yes, you're like your tita Irene. She doesn't want to be a politician too." Manong Bonget said.
She looked at me and smiled. I smiled at her too.
"But you do debates right? I remember I was one of the panelist back in 2019 in the school of Ilocos Norte, ikaw ba yun?" Sandro asked.
I was shocked, I didn't know she do debates, what a talented lady!

Now, everyone is looking at me and tita Irene too. They're asking me if do I dream to be a politician one of these days. Hell no!
I answered them no right away, I don't want to be a politician, I never dreamed to be one then Sandro suddenly spoke.
"But you do debates right? I remember I was one of the panelist back in 2019 in the school of Ilocos Norte, ikaw ba yun?" Sandro asked and everyone was looking at me.
Okay, one of my biggest secret has came out, thanks a lot SANDRO!
"Uh, yes. But that was only once. That's because I have no choice but to participate for our school and our principal appointed me so yeah." I explained and smiled lightly.
I told them I only debate once but it was never once though, it was quite a lot.
"I remember your answers are so good, so nice. You won right?" Sandro muttered.
"Uh yeah." I replied shortly.
"What are you pursuing hija?" Mama Meldy asked.
"I'm hoping to be a internist po, Internal Medicine, however, I do also want to pursue law. But I'll be taking stem po." I stated in my low voice.
"Wow, so to finalize, you'll be taking internal medicine?" Tito Bonget asked, I nodded.
"What will be your pre-med then?" He added.
