Long Lost Daughter

Chapter 60

As time goes by, Irene had been really busy due to her music and arts organizations, she sometimes can't ask her daughter about how's her day went or how is she. Meanwhile, Greggy needs to be in California for their company there but will be back as soon as possible.

She also can't able to join her for dinner, she also doesn't have a time to drop nor fetch Celestine in Ateneo. Irene and Celestine don't see each other as often as before.

But Celestine doesn't mind because eventhough her mom has a lot of shortcomings, she is blessed with a tita manang who's always there for her.

Celestine is ready for school so she head downstairs to eat her breakfast, she just had a cereals and milk since she don't have energy to eat a whole meal because she feels alone.

After she eat, she proceed outside as the driver drove her to school. Before Celestine entered the school, she first texted her tita Imee.

To: Tita Imee

Hi tita manang! I'm just wondering if you're busy later? Can you please fetch me after school, hehe.

She almost turn off hee phone when it suddenly beeped.

From: Tita Imee

Hi dearest Samantha, I'm not. Sure 'nak. I'll be there, love u!

To: Tita Imee

Yay! You're the best, love you mwa, take caree!

She didn't wait for her tita Imee to reply, she immediately turned her phone off and put it inside her purse and proceed inside the campus.

A lot of students and even teachers greeted her on her way to her classroom.

I've been really busy these past few weeks since I worked again. I can't even check on my daughter anymore, because everytime I gets home, she's already asleep and whenever I go to her room, it's locked.

It's been awhile since I last saw her, I don't even know if she eats before going to school. Today is Friday and tomorrow I'll be asking Celestine to have errands with me, I'll make it up to her tomorrow to fulfill my shortcomings.

To: Mommy's angel

Hi, I miss you love. Are you at scho already?

I sent a message to her, I waited for her reply but I didn't receive anything. I try to console myself that maybe she's just busy on her school activities.

After a couple of practice and teaching it's time to go home. Yes, I'll be going home early today I'll be making dinner for her to make bawi. It's also been awhile since we eat together.

When arrived at the house, the maids greeted me and I just smiled at them. I went directly to Greggy and I's room to change my clothes, after I changed, I went to the kitchen to start to cook food for our dinner.

As time passes, my excitement is really increasing. I'm excited to see my daughter. I missed her so much!

It's already 5:00 pm, yet she's still not home. But I try not to jump into conclusion right away and tried to wait for her then my phone vibrated.

From: Mommy's angel

Hi mom, if you're wondering where I am now, I'm with tita Imee po. Don't wait for me nalang kasi I might sleep with her in Mama Meldy's house or go home, eat kana rin and rest after I know you're tired. :)

I felt a sting in my heart as I read her message, all my efforts just turned into waste. My appetite just got lost so I decided to just sleep, I didn't bother to reply on my daughter's message since I was quite hurt. I was waiting for her.
