I𝗺𝗲𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗼𝘀
It has been a week and Celestine isn't waking up yet. She's still in the ICU with a lot of tubes on her body, Irene and I are here in the room with Celestine. In the resting area, Greggy, Borgy, Michael and Simon are there.
I can hear that Irene is sobbing so I looked at her, she's caressing Celestine's face while she's crying.
"You've been laying here for a week now, my love and I missed you so much. I want to feel your hug again. We're all waiting for you, please wake up, diba sabi mo ayaw mong makita na umiiyak ako, then you should wake up now, my princess. It hurts seeing you with this so many machines, if I could just give my life to you at ako nalang magdusa jan ginawa ko na. I can't manage seeing you still unconscious, not sure kung kailan ka magigising. Mama Meldy is so worried about you, we're all worried, you need to fight for mommy and the rest of the family, okay? Promise me that you'll wake up as soon as possible, my love. We will wait for you until you gain your energy and consciousness anak ko." She said, sobbing, I went to rubbed her back, I know that my ading is hurt. We're all hurt seeing our only rose, fighting for her own life with a lot of tubes attached on her thin body, when Irene calmed, I sat beside her as I held her hand.
"She'll fight for us, ading, especially for you. Diba ayaw na ayaw niyang nahihirapan ka, ayaw niyang nakikitang may nasasaktan sa kahit kanino man sa pamilya natin. Ibinigay siya ulit ng Diyos at hinding-hindi niya ipagkakait na makasama ulit natin si tine, we just need to wait for his time, after this circumstances, we'll surely be happy again." I assured as I smiled and leaned my head to her shoulders.
"Hindi ko kaya kung mawala siya saakin, manang. She's my life, it has been just months since nagkita kami ulit, hindi pa ako totally nakakabawi sakanya." She uttered, looking at Celestine.
"Enough with that, Irene. Hindi mawawala saatin si Celestine, okay? Wag kang mag-iisip ng ganyan." I told her.
"Why don't you take some rest first, pumapayat ka Irene! Wag mong papabayaan ang sarili mo dahil hindi magiging masaya si Celestine sa pag gising niya na makita ka niyang ganya. Go, ako na muna ang bahala dito, eat and take a rest." I said as I stood up and get a water for her.
"Manang, kaya ko pa—
"No but's Irene, makinig ka nalang sakin. Once Celestine wake up, babalitaan agad kita okay?" I told her, she have no choice but to follow me, she get out of the room as I sitdown on the chair beside Celestine's bed.
"Wake up na, we're waiting lalong lalo na si mommy mo. If you could just see her situation right now, tintin. She's hurt so much, we are all hurt seeing you suffering." Imee said as she stroke her hair.
𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗴𝘆 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗮
The boys and I are here in the resting area, our manly talks has been interrupted when someone opened the door and revealed my wife who looks so tired and stress. I immediately stood up to assist her.
"Hon, look at you, you look so tired and stress. You should rest muna." I told her as I planted a soft kiss on her forehead, she nodded as she smiled lightly to the boys.
"Yes tita, rest ka po muna. Kami na po muna bahala dito.." Borgy exclaimed.
"Thanks, boys!" Irene replied, I assisted her to the bed so she could rest, she was able to fall asleep quickly because of her exhaustion.
We minimize our voice while talking because we don't want Irene to get interrupted with her sleep.
In the midst of our talk, my phone rang which I immediately answered to prevent the loud sound of the ringtone. I excused myself and went outside of the room.
"Hello?" I said.
"Sir Greggy, nacompile na po namin yung cctv, pwede ka pong pumunta ngayon agad para makita niyo." said from the other line.
"Okay, I'll be there, ngayon agad." I replied, I ended the call as I head back to the room and grab my car keys.
"Boys, kayo muna ang bahala dito ah, yung tita Irene niyo." I told them.
"Where are you going, tito?" Mike asked.
"I need to see the cctv footage, na-compile na daw.." I replied.
"Ingat ka tito.." they exclaimed, I nodded as I get out of the room and went outside the hospital right away, I entered my car as I started the engine and drove off.
When I reached the location, I saw them playing the footage several times.
"Sir, eto na po.." Gino said, as he played the footage again.
The car looks so familiar, "Can you play it a little slower.." I said, looking at the computer.
"Okay po.." he replied as he slowed the duration of the video.
"As you can see, sir, hindi po disgrasya yung nangyari. Yung pagkakasagasa sa anak mo ay sinadya at plinano." Gino told me.
I hardly tapped the table, "P*tang*na!" I shouted that made them shock.
"Magbabayad ang may gawa niyan sa anak ko!" I said as I clenched my fist.
"Re-play the footage." I told Gino, which he obliged right away and there I saw a horse sticker on the side of the car, I know who's car was it. It was from Raymond Martinez!
He's the only one who is mad at our family, dahil nalalamangan ko siya. Hindi pwedeng tumunganga nalang ako dito dahil idinamay niya ang anak ko!
Ang anak kong walang kamalay-malay sa nangyayari sa kompanya namin, ang anak kong walang alam at walang kinalaman. Magbabayad siya sa ginawa niya, siya ang dahilan kung bakit hindi pa gumigising ang anak ko hanggang ngayon.
"Give me a copy of that, I know who's car is that, magbabayad siya sa ginawa niya sa anak ko!" I said, as Gino nodded and proceed to making a copy of the footage for me.
When Celestine wake up, I will make sure na hindi na makakalapit sa kanya ang sino mang ang apelyido ay Martinez. Ilalayo ko siya dito sa Pilipinas kung yun lang ang tanging paraan para maprotektahan ko siya. I lost my daughter once at hindi ako papayag na mawala ulit siya saamin.
My wife suffered so much, after this, we'll going to continue our lives in California. I'll let Celestine to study there and that's final.
"You interfere my daughter's peace, now I'll include your kids with my anger towards you!" I said in my mind, I won't let that Liam to be more closer to our family especially to my daughter. His dad is the reason why my daughter is suffering and still not waking up until now. Hindi ako papayag na hindi siya managot sa pagkakasala niya, I don't care if he's a powerful man, I'll give my daughter the justice that she deserves even if it substitute my death.
After I received the soft copy, I head to the police station in Manila right away. I told them who's the owner of that car and they said they'll just confirm if it was his and then after they confirm it and if they found out that it's true then, they'll send Raymond in jail.
