THIRD PERSON'S POV
Once the coughing stopped, Willa's eye color and moonstone went back to normal.
"Willa, Are you okay?!" Rio placed her hand on her shoulder; "What was that?!".
"Babe, it's fine" Willa tried to brush off the topic. "Willa, don't lie...what was that?" River asked again. Willa sighed and looked down. "Our moonstones are losing power..." Willa motions to her necklace.
"Meaning?" Rio furrows her eyebrows.
"Meaning that they're making us sick" Willa says.
"Okay, they have medicine for sicknesses" River said, making Willa smile a bit. "It's not that kind of sickness, Baby" Willa grabs Rio's hands and locks them together. "So what kind is it" River asked. "The kind where if we don't the moonstone in time then..." Willa sighed.
"Then what?" River worried.
"If we don't find the moonstone in time then we, werewolves get sicker and could possibly die" Willa stated.
"Possibly or you will?" River asked. "We will" Willa answered. Rio scoffs and pulls her hands away from Willa's. "Honey..." Willa whispered, trying to feel Rio's warm hands against her own.
"So- So it's either you guys find moonstone in time and live...or- or you guys die and I'll never get to see you again?" River asked, trying to keep herself together.
"...Yeah" Willa mumbled.
"But- but if Addison's one of us, she can help us find the moonstone tomorrow" Willa tried to lighten the mood; "We might actually have a chance at finding it in time before the demolition!".
Rio began to cry as she buried her face into Willa's chest and wraps her arms around her waist.
Hearing her cries and sobs made Willa's heartache.
Her eyes themselves became teary and she hugged the human a bit tighter, scared that if she let her go River would disappear. Willa sniffled, kissing the top of Rio's head. "Can you walk me home?" River asked as she lets go of her embrace with Willa.
Willa sighs and nods.
"Of course" She stated.

Willa walked alongside Rio in silence which was soon to be broken.
"Willa?" River questioned.
"Yes?" Willa replied.
"Do you think things would be different...if we had more time together?" Rio asked. "What do you mean" Willa says. "Like...If our relationship wasn't a friendship" River corrected. "What? You don't want to be friends anymore?" Willa looks at her with worry. "No! No, no, I- I do" Rio reassured.
"Okay...Well if you still want to be friends then what do you mean by "different", Riv?" Willa questioned.
"I mean different as if we were a...a couple" River said, messing with her bracelets. "Wait- us...dating?" Willa eyes slightly widened. "Yeah" Rio hummed. "Why...why would you want that" Willa questions, nervously.
"Because I like you...I like you more than just a friend, Lykensen" River admitted.
"You do?" Willa raised an eyebrow.
"I do" Rio said once they stopped walking, making it in front of her house. "River..." Willa leans in and uses her thumb brushed against Rio's bottom lip. "This...this can't happen, Love, even if we find the moonstone" Willa said. "You're a human...I'm a werewolf," She added.
"Willa..." River grabbed her hand, realizing where this was going.
"We're two total opposites and we'll never work!" Willa states.
"You should get inside" Willa tried to walk away but Rio stops her, pulling her back. "Willa?" River questions, "Do you not like me back? Because if you don't then just tell me!". "Rio, would you stop?" Willa says. "Just tell me!" The human huffs.
"River, when we find the moonstone we might not even have to see each other anymore!" Willa spats; "This whole thing was just a ruse!".
"What? What ruse? What are you talking about, Lykensen?!" River questioned her, confused.
Willa closed her eyes as she seemed to realize what she had said.
"I'm talking about how our whole friendship was based on a lie!" Willa chuckled. "My only, only plan was to come to SeaBrook, and find the moonstone with the help of Addison!" She said.
"But things took a turn at the assembly and we had to lie," Willa admits; "So I uh...I decided to befriend you for information about the moonstone".
"When I realized you knew nothing, I guess I got stuck" She added.
"No, no, no..." River shook her head as she backed away from Willa.
"I never planned on falling for you, Rio" Willa stated. "-But I did anyways!".
"I don't believe you. Okay? You're lying, that's not true!" River protested.
Flashback
"It's just...it's been a lot going on for me and my pack" Willa sighed; "I...um I don't want to hurt you".
"How could you hurt me, Wils" River asked. "I don't know...I could lie to you, betray your trust or do something so messed up that you would end up hating me" Willa says. "-And even though we just met...I really care about you and our friendship" Willa admits; "I dont want to fuck that up".
"You won't, Wolfe!" River grabs willa's hand with a smile.
Rio furrowed her eyebrows and says; "So everything you said to me were just lies, Lykensen!?".
River's vision became blurry from the tears that built up in her eyes.
"Not...not all of them were lies, Riv" Willa says as she walks up to the Barbadian girl. "It's just- You have to see where I'm coming from here!" The wolf said. "Why should I?" River asked; "Why should I believe or listen to anything that you say to me anymore?".
"For all I know you're not even dying, it was just another lie" River crossed her arms. "Oh my god... River! You're not listening!" Willa growls; "We didn't have much of a choice, okay!".
"If your stupid little town didn't steal what wasn't theirs in the first place, We wouldn't be in this situation right now!" Willa argued. River looks the wolf up and down before rolling her eyes. "Honey, I'm sorry..." Willa sighed, "Okay, I'm sorry that I lied to you. You didn't- you don't deserve that, but please just hear me out!".
"I don't want to hear anything that you have to say to me anymore!" Rio cried as she goes up to her porch.
Following her, Willa walks up the steps and turns Rio around to face her. While kissing the top of her head, Willa wraps her arms around River's waist. "Willa..." River mumble her name. "I'm sorry. I told you I'd fuck this up somehow...I always do" Willa says, whispering the last bit.
"Willa, Just go...I don't want you around anymore" Rio wipes away her tears. Willa let's out a whimper before she bites down on her bottom lip. "Okay..." Willa sighed and backs away.
"I hope you find someone better, Noelle, really." Willa smiled as her eyes became teary; "I'm sorry that someone couldn't be me...".
With that she left, leaving River with her heart shattered.
