THIRD PERSON'S POV
As River's friends slept the night away in their sleeping bags or pallet that was made out of fluffy blankets and pillows, the rustling of someone moving around in the living room alerted River.
The soft footsteps against the brown wooden floor grew closer and River glanced up, smiling sweetly. "Hey you" River spoke softly. The smile was returned, sleepily as a warm hand met Rio's silk pajamas set and goes underneath her shirt to touch her bare back. "Hey" Willa said just as quiet and raspy. "Couldn't sleep?" River asked. Willa nodded with tired eyes. "Yeah, me either" River says.
"What're you drawing?" Willa asks before looking over her girlfriend's shoulder. River quickly flips to a different page of her sketchbook and clears her throat. "Uh... j-just sketching..." she says, scratching her brow with her French tip nails. Willa smiles down at her and doesn't press. "Really? For new pieces? Your last one was pretty big, wasn't it?".
"Yeah.. yeah it was. I just... these are a bit more personal" River tells Willa, glancing back and forth between her book and Willa.
"Hmm. Let me hear it" Willa says intrigued.
"Um..." River hesitates, twisting her lips to the side and sigh, flipping through more pages in her sketchbook. "Well, there is one... it's kinda creepy" she says. "I love it already" Willa grins, sliding to the side, leaning her weight on the kitchen counter. "There's this dream that I had, right? But the guy... person— whatever doesn't have a face" River explained, showing Willa the quick sketch that she did. "Like you can see skin... or?" Willa questioned as she studied the work.
"No. That's the thing. It's just this figure, a black human-like void".
"Very specific" Willa chuckles while still into the conversation. "Do you recognize the voice?" She asks. "I thought it was..." River straightens up as if she had just gotten called out to the office, but then her expression goes blank for a moment and she looks away; "act..actually, no. I don't". Willa crinkles her brows and notices the puzzled expression on River's face.
"Who did you think it was?" The werewolf questioned, feeling more awake than before. "A-Zara..." River sighed as she grabbed the broom from her side and sticks it in the air. "What?" Willa grimaced. "She's been floating around and hitting her head on the wall for the past ten minutes" River grunts as she pushed the floating alien away from the kitchen's wall and out into the spacious living.
Willa watched as A-Zara spins around from the push and tugs at her baby blue blanket, drooping over her body in mid air.
"So?" Willa rolled her eyes, returning her attention back to her girlfriend with a broom in her hand. "What's your deal with them anyway? Why don't you trust them?" Rio asked as she sits the broom down, letting it lean on the wall. "They're outsiders" Willa answered. "You guys were outsiders too. Don't forget that" River reminded her with a finger point. "I'm different." Willa comments as she crossed her arms.
