THIRD PERSON'S POV

"There's no way they came across the galaxy just to cheer" Willa says as she and her pack walk down SeaBrook's staircase the next morning.

"Why are they really here?" The wolf eyed them up and down from a distance as her mind raced with possibilities of the plans that they could have up their sleeves.

The Aliens and Werewolves stood on separate sides of the hallway as they all shared different looks towards each other. Wynter took her chance and growled, looking A-Spen up and down. "Better watch your step" Wynter stated. "We will watch our step!" A-Spen smiled, cheerful. "Thank you for the warning" The leader said. Wynter pulled her eyebrows together and glanced up at her alpha who was dealing with her own alien at the moment.

"Smile" A-Li says as she holds up her oval-shaped object that could detach from and is worn on her bracelet.

"Cool. An alien camera" Wyatt chuckled as he nudged his sister. She took her glare off of A-Zara and sent it toward him instead before rolling her eyes. "No fleas" Wynter smiled before she posed. The bright flash caused the wolves to close their eyes in a hurry in order to not be blinded by the light. Once they open them again, they hardly even remember the conversation that was had. Willa pulled her eyebrows together, blinking multiple times.

"Uh, what just happened?" Wynter questioned as her eyes crossed.

Wyatt held the side of his head, confused as they turned to face the aliens' direction that had walked away proudly.

The hallway of Seabrook High was loud and crowded as the students rushed to their next classes.

"Hey!" River chimed, slightly out of breath as she rushed out of her classroom to meet up with Willa.

Willa looks down ar her with a smile. "Hey, babe" The tall girl says before they walk side by side, their hands now interlocked while her arm wraps around Rio's neck. River stopped by her locker to grab and switch out textbooks. "Are you ready?" she asked while taking the heavy science book out of her bag, looking over and up at Willa Lykensen. Willa, her wolf tension softened slightly by Rio's voice, raising her eyebrows. "Beyond" Willa replied, now leaning her weight against the lockers, eyeing down Rio's figure.

River's lips curved into a smile as she zipped up her bag after placing her math book inside.

"Great! We're leaving after school so we'll have plenty of time to get ready".

Willa's brows creased barely, the puzzled look taking over her face.

"Ready for what though?" She finally admits to her confusion with their topic. Rio locked her locker after closing it and turned her body towards Willa with crossed arms. "We're trying out the new bowling alley with Mace and Lilly tonight" River explained, her words revealing she'd said this before. "We're getting ready at my place" She says hoping that the she-wolf would catch on. Willa pressed her lips together to form a line. "God, don't tell me you forgot!?".

"Pfft! No!" Willa said, a little too quickly. River tilted her head to the side and pursed her lips together, not swayed. "I didn't!" Willa says defensively.

River narrowed her eyes before scoffing. "I know when you're lying" she said, her voice a mix of annoyance and affection. Willa twisted her lips to the side and looked down at her boots. "It's fine. We'll go some other time" Rio shrugs as she pulls out her phone.
River walks off, and Willa trails behind her and became pretty silent after that. As they walked, Rio looked up from her phone and took notice of Willa and her expressions. "Relax" She said, placing a calming hand on her girlfriend's arm. "Sorry" Willa muttered.

"I get it. Senior year is so stressful already and it's been three months!".

"Not even the half of it," Willa agreed with an eye roll as her posture softened from its tension. "Last night was... a lot" River says, keeping it short. "They practically destroyed the town" Willa reminded her human girlfriend with an attitude. "Right!" Rio exclaimed, remembering the recent supernatural events that happened.

"And mom's been stressing me out over college. I'm helping Karm study for this test when I have like five assignments past their due dates" The Barbadian girl ranted a bit as they continued to walk.

"Definitely sounds like a challenge" Willa acknowledged, looking down at her right side with understanding eyes. "Honestly, the bowling date would've been relaxing... but I think I came up with something better!" Rio stated as her eyes lit up with her new idea. "Let me hear it" Willa said, her curiosity piqued. They turned the corner of an emergency exit hallway and talked for a bit longer, completely ignoring the fact that the minute bell had just rung. "Okay, so I was thinking we could do it around five? You know, in case I add onto this" River says, beaming with joy. Willa nodded slowly and glanced away for the briefest moment.

"And I know how much you like my mom's pastries and it gave me the idea to—" Rio began, but Willa cut her off.

"Actually," she said after taking notice of Wynter leaving A-Lan's side in the long hallway; "can you tell me later?".

Rio looked Willa up and down before her brows were pulled together, tilting her head to the side. "Why?" She asked, confused. "Nothing. It's just... I have this, uh, project to do with Wyatt later...around..that time?" Willa came up with a lie. Rio frowned and her shoulders slumped slightly. "Can't it wait? Or do it tomorrow?" She asked.

It was weird to bring her brother up in the middle of their conversation. Wyatt never once mentioned that he had a project that was due this week to their friend group. So for Willa to bring it up out of the blue was not only weird but also made her suspicious. Willa clearly saw this but she had no choice but to push it aside and follow through with the excuse. "I'm sorry" She apologized. "Yeah, okay, but you already forgot about our—" River started to complain. "Due dates are real, babe! Can't miss 'em" Willa insisted, hurriedly as she patted the top of River's now slicked back hairstyle.

"And I suggest you finish yours. Do you know how would that look on your record?!".

Rio couldn't help but let her small smile show after Willa faked a dramatic gasp. "You're lucky" River tells Willa, allowing her to leave. "So, so lucky!" Willa kissed the top of River's head repeatedly. Her clawed hands squished River's face in the process causing the girl to giggle as her lips were poked out. The wolf grins and quickly pecking at Rio's lips. "I'll see you later?" Willa asked, already starting to move away, walking backward. "Hmm" Rio hummed and nodded, a hint of disappointment in her eyes. "Lo—" Willa started, then caught herself.

"Later!" She waved before she turned her head and spotted Wynter still at her Locker, getting ready to leave for her next class.

"Yeah, later" Rio replied, watching her go. As Willa disappeared around the corner, River deeply rolled her eyes and rested the back of her head on the white wall behind her. She looked to the side where Willa once stood and muttered to herself; "I know when you're lying". She then pulled out her phone again, her fingers moving across the screen to get to her recent call log. Placing the phone up to her ear, River sighed and let the call ring, knowing Lilith was somewhere skipping and would pick up eventually.

"Hey, Lils?" River spoke up once the call had connected.

"Yeah, we can't make it tonight".
