THIRD PERSON'S POV

The very upbeat, echoing, electronic music had died down after the Aliens had finished their cheer routine.

Their very impressive cheer routine.

One where, for beings who never cheered before, it was beyond measure of outstanding.

They had the trophy in the bag. They cheerfully and politely made their way over to the cheer team as Addison and the others applauded them. "Our telepathic groupthink makes cheer so easy" A-Li sighed, happily with a large smile that was normal in mean-looking resting position. "Yes. We are even better than you, and you've practiced your whole life" A-Lan comments. The Acey's gasped in shock. A-Li was the first to walk past the crowded cheerleaders after they made a way for a clear walkthrough.

"So fun. Thank you for inviting us" A-Spen says joyfully and happily walks off to meet with her friends.

River was next to step up to SeaBrook's cheer team after the aliens. "Sorry, Adds. I wish I could stay longer but I have to go secure these seats in like an hour, if that" River tells her friend. Addison was quick on her feet with the response and motions River to leave as soon as possible. "No. I totally get it! Thanks for helping us set up. Go, go, go." She says. And River does just that. Rushing out the large exiting double doors and grabbing the keys to her car, Rio jumped back when she seen A-Zara standing in front of her.

"Hey. About earlier—" The black extraterrestrial says. "Not now, Z. I really gotta go" River said, weaving past her. "Oh? Well, I can just take you where you need to go" A-Zara tells her, placing her hands in her pockets. "No. I drove here and I have to fly home to get ready before they start calling about reservations" River denied the offer. A-Zara follows her to the car and leans against it. "I have a pretty sweet ride that does both of those things" Zara says. River closed her eyes and threw her head back. Her hand falls from the door handle and she twisted her body towards the alien. A-Zara grins at Rio's caving action and stepped forward.

"Just let me. It'll be super quick, promise" Zara says coolly. "You're not gonna give up, are you?" River questions with the same tone, her head tilting toward the side and her smile only grew. A-Zara chuckled before she eyed her up and down, closing the gap between them after one last step. "On you? Not anytime soon" She said. River's lips parted after that and she stared at Zara in slight surprise and admiration. Her heartbeat sped up and her stomach went hallow for a second. She swallowed her breath harshly and cleared her throat, breaking eye contact with the dangerously close Alien before her.

River lets out a force laugh and shook her head.

"Shut up and let's go" She says. "Mothership, beam us up!" A-Zara called out, looking up at the sky with the spacecraft hovering the building. The ship does as demanded and a blue bright stream of light shines down on the duo.

"Wait—what about my car—!".

The ride—flight?—to River's house on the Mothership wasn't long.

A-Zara, for whatever reason, was persistent about waiting on and getting River back on the ship in time to drop her off at the restaurant.

It was around thirty minutes before Rio was dressed and ready to have dinner with Willa soon. A short brownskin girl with a purple long silk bonnet and large oversized black graphic shirt watched her older sister walk out of her bedroom, scoffing at her outfit and begins to shake her head. "What?" River questions after shutting her door, seeing her sister's usual unimpressed expression. "A mini skirt, really? In the beginning of October?" Karma says, pointing out the lower half of River's outfit. She wore yellow zigzag design hoops.

A mostly brown sweatshirt with red, black, and white different sized stripes. There was a crème colored, long sleeved, one piece underneath when she lifted her arms. Below that was her black miniskirt and thick stockings that matched her skin tone. She topped it off with brown and black fur boots and a crossbody purse. "I'm fine. It's not that cold, and the stockings are thick" River tells her sister. "Does Willa know you're with the enemy on y'alls date night?" Karma asked, leaning on her door frame.

"Oh my god..." River lets out a laugh and throws her head back.

She clasps her hands together and looks back at her younger sister with a light amused smile.

"Look whatever Willa's been filling your mind with lately about them, don't believe it. Zar's not the enemy".

Karma tooted up her lips, slightly turning her head towards the riling side of the house and narrowed her eyes. "I didn't say anything about it being A-Zara" Karma pointed out. "Shut up. You're giving me a headache" River said, turning her head away from her sister and looking down the staircase before deciding to leave the upstairs area. But before she could even let her foot touch the second step, Karma stopped her. "Seriously. I think you should just drive and meet up with her halfway there or wait on her all together" Karma suggested.

"She was really bummed out when I was helping her get dressed at the Pack House earlier" She also told her older sister. River gave out a dismissive attitude and scrunched up her nose. "So?" River said. Karma cocked her head back and eyed her up and down. She the leans against the black and white railing, looking down at A-Zara from above with a mean glare.

"What is with you guys?" Karma asked. "Nothing. It's none of your business" River was quick to say. Karma took her eyes off of the Alien in their home and turned her head toward River. "You make it my business any other time you need advice." Karma says with a cut tone. "Karma!" River hissed in a hushed voice as she began to grow irradiated.

"Willa and I are fine. She's meeting me there with the Pack's car and I have to get going or else our reservation will get cancelled".

"Bring me back some pasta salad!" Karma called out after River rushed down the stairs. "Go eat some noodles or something!" Rio yelled back. Karma gasped and shook her head, flipping A-Zara off after they made eye contact with each other and headed back to her room. "They're gonna miss me when I'm gone" She says to herself with a chuckle and a head shake, making it back into her room.
