THIRD PERSON'S POV

"If you're here to invade Seabrook, our pack won't go down without a fight" Willa tells the four aliens as she stands behind River with her hand underneath her girlfriend's hot pink hoodie.

"We do not want your one-star planet" A-Li replied as she rolled her eyes. "They are so emotional" A-Zara says to her friends, side eyeing Willa. "Yes, but while in Seabrook, I'm going to disengage our emotional suppressors" A-spen, the third alien, said. "Personally, I would like to see what emotions feel like" They added before disengaging the aliens' suppressors with the same orb-glowing object that A-Zara wore on her wrist. "Excited! That's an emotion! It feels so... exciting!" A-Spen beamed.

"Eh, I still feel the same" A-Zara responds to her emotions by shrugging.

Fidgeting with her gloves, A-Zara's eyes shifted between Wynter and River. "We've decided to let you stay until after the cheer competition, but not a day later" Missy Wells says. "Thank you, Mayor. We are honored to join your cheer competition" A-Spen stated. "Yeah, what is cheer?" A-Li questions. "Oh, don't worry. Rio and I will show you later" Addison says with a smile. Willa leaned forward and whispered in Rio's ear; "You agreed to that?".

"I've got nothing else to do" River answers. Willa fixed her posture and pondered in thought. "Also, what is competition" The fourth alien in the group, A-Lan, asked. "When you challenge others to prove you're the best" Addison answers.

"No, we are a harmonious people" A-Lan says.

"We do not compete amongst ourselves" A-Zara butts in.

"Although, that is an intriguing concept, is it not?" A-Lan questions as he steps up to Zed with a small grin. "Hi, I'm Zed. Zombie, football star. Generally well-liked" Zed stated. "By who?" River questions with a smile. "Shut up, you" Zed says. "Well, I am A-lan. Extraterrestrial" A-Lan says.

"Hey, the haters say I'm a little extra too" Zed chuckled.

"What haters though?" Rio asked. Zed held out his hand and the alien boy took it as some sort of competition he was being challenged for. "Oh, competition!" A-Lan rubs his hands together, happily. "What? No, it's just a handsha-" Zed tried to explain but quits as he got zapped by the Alien's powers. Willa's grip on River's bare waist tightened as she backed them up from the electric blue shock.

"Relax, Wolfe" River chuckled as she placed her hand over Willa's.

A-Lan smiled with excitement as Zed hurriedly pulled away. "Did I win?!" A-Lan questions as he looks around for confirmation. "No! Gah, no, you did not win!" Zed says, trying to get over the shock. "Apologies... Our people have a special stardust spark" The alien leader told Zed. "That some lesser species may find painful" A-Li states. With that, Willa wolfed-out, growling and showed her claws in a defensive stance.

"Welcome to Seabrook" The she-wolf says with a fake smile. River feels the tension between the alien and her wolf. She looked between the two and rubbed her lips together as A-Zara laughed. "Was that supposed to be scary?" Willa eyed A-Zara up and down after the comment was made before she was pulled to the side by Wyatt. River pulled out her phone to call her friends before the sound of heeled boots grabbed her attention.

"Hey" A-Zara smiled.

Looking up from her phone, River smiled back with a small hand wave.

"Oh, hi!" She says.

"I would shake your hand but... that just happened" River explained. "A-Zara" The alien girl says. "River" The human girl replied. "Nice to meet you" A-Zara said as she picked at her gloves. "Wish I could say the same" River tells her. While she wasn't as furious as Willa had been, River was quite upset with how things went down today. The game just had to be won and Willa could possibly get into Mountain College. They would've been close to their dream life.

Proving to everyone that distance and leaving high school don't always have to end a relationship but make it stronger than it was before.

Why did all of this have to happen tonight?

"Will you be my girlfriend?".

"I'm sorry, what?" River blinked with a shocked expression. With her enhanced hearing, Willa was able to overhear Rio and A-Zara's conversation. No, she was not eavesdropping on them. It was simply an interesting conversation that she felt the need to be a part of. She excused herself from Wyatt and Addison to make her way toward River. "Yeah, what the hell did you just say?" Willa questions, protectively. "Babe, don't" River warns her.

A-Zara groans and throws her head back. "I wasn't talking to you, Snarlzilla" She said. Willa growls and takes a step closer to the alien. River pushes her back. "Riv, she-" Willa tried to protest but got cut off. "Ten" River tells her. Willa rolled her eyes and sighed; "...Nine". "You were saying?" Rio gave the space girl a small smile while giving the girl her attention once again.

"I did my research on the term and it's a pretty common term of endearment for girls".

"Oh! You meant friend-wise!" River chimed. "Was that not clear?" A-Zara asked. "Oh, please. "Was that not clear?"!" Willa grumbled before she scoffed and eyed the alien with blue braids. "I'm sensing mockery" A-Zara says to Willa. "I'm sensing that you have five seconds to shut the hell up before I sock you in your shit!". River snaps her head upward and toward her girlfriend. "Willa!" Rio says as she hits the wolf's chest. "What?!" Willa looks down at the girl and shrugs, unbothered.

"Is that a threat?" A-Zara challenged causing Willa to turn her head.

"A promise" Willa responded just as confident, more serious.

"Rio! We're leaving, you coming with?" Addison called out from a distance. "Yeah!" River called out. "Anything to get me out of this" She thought. "Sorry, but we gotta go" River grabs ahold of Willa's hand so they can leave together. "Don't apologize to her" Willa tells Rio with a glare. "Do you want to get slapped again?" Willa rolls her eyes and bites down on the inside of her cheek. "No, she's totally right" A-Zara says to River.

"She is?" River asked, turning her head back to A-Zara.

"Yeah, an apology from you alone is like a godsend" A-Zara flirts. "Oh. Heh! ...Well, thanks" Rio says, flustered. A-Zara winks at her before she meets up with her alien friends. "Really?" Willa questions her girlfriend. "What? It was a compliment" River smiled. "Yeah, whatever" Willa rolled her eyes before she wrapped her arm around River's shoulder and they all walked out of the station together.
