THIRD PERSON'S POV

"Addison, you can't help those invaders" Bucky says as he runs up to his cousin who is studying in SeaBrook high's library.

"Back off, Bucky" Willa says as she walks up to the two humans. "Your cousin's the cheer captain now, not you" The she-wolf said. "Thanks, Willa" Addison smiled. "But Bucky is right" Willa said as she pointed her thumb towards the boy beside her. "I'm right?" Bucky questions. Willa turned her head to look at him, eyed him up and down, and raised her eyebrows. "Yes. Of course, I'm right" Bucky chuckled. "A little right" Willa commented before going back to talk to the cheerleader. "I don't trust the aliens, Addison" Willa says as she looks down at Addison.

"Last time outsiders swooped into Seabrook, our moonstone was stolen" The werewolf said.

"And this time, we might lose our shot of getting into Mountain College".

"And I can not have that happening" Willa says firmly.

"Exactly! Which is why we need to protect what's ours" Bucky said. "The Seabrook Cup. My legacy" The fedora hat-wearing boy says. "Me, in general" He waves his hands around him. "Right, Willa? Or should I say, Wacey?" Bucky questions. "You should not" Willa stated before growling at Bucky. He runs off, shrieking in fear. "Don't worry about the aliens" Addison tells Willa causing the girl to look at her. "I'm not afraid of a little competition" Addison said.

Willa pressed her lips together before smiling down at Addison, her high confidence making Willa feel uneasy.

"Wanna talk about how you jumped on that table last night?" Addison questions with a grin. "I rather not" Willa says as she takes the free seat across from her friend in the library room. "Okay, fair enough. Do you wanna talk about what's going on with you?" Addison asked the wolf. Willa pulled her eyebrows together with confusion before giving the white girl a slight smile, showing the right side of her fangs. "I don't know what you're talking about" Willa said. Addison raised her brows before she flipped to the next page in her textbook.

"Is it about River?".

"No" Willa scoffed as her head cocks back a bit. "Why does everyone keep asking me that?" She questions out of annoyance, looking at the bookcases around her. "So it is what I think it is" Addison says looking back at Willa while pushing her book to the side. "Meaning?" Willa responded, turning her head back to its proper place.

"Meaning you're nervous about College?".

Willa's eyes narrowed down as she met with Addison's gaze. Her jaw clenched and she straightened her posture more than it was. Asserting her confidence. Something she had always been good at. She was proving to Addison that nothing was scaring her. Because nothing was scaring her. She was fine. She and Rio were fine. Things were fine.

Her only problem was with those damn aliens and finding out the real reason for their sudden appearance.

"What are you going to do if Zed doesn't get into Mountain College?".

Willa managed to change the subject. And, it was a genuine question that Willa wanted to know the answer to. Not to get the topic off of her, of course, but to be involved with her friend's life. "What?" Addison questions. Willa rolled her eyes and crossed her arms on top of the table, her tone becoming more serious. "The aliens just lowered his chances of getting into Mountain College. What are you going to do with that?" The wolf asked. "Unfortunately, I'd have to go alone" said Addison. Willa's brows frowned and she pursed her lips together.

"So you're not gonna fight for him to get in?".

"Willa".

"I mean you can't possibly think that you're going to be 'together forever' if you're literally not together".

"Yeah but—" Addison began to say but Willa cut her off. "So you're gonna have to go and do separate things. Will you be okay with that?" Willa pressed. "As long as he's happy yeah" Addison smiled her famously bright smile. "That's bullshit!" Willa spats while her fist hits the table. "Excuse me?" Addison says with a frown. "Stop being so damn hopeful all the time!" Willa growls as her nose flared. Addison creased her brown brows and gave Willa a look almost as if she was disgusted by her friend's reaction. "Look, if you have something to say then just say it!".

Willa pressed her lips together and allowed herself to sink into the green chair she was in. Addison sighed, closing her eyes before giving Willa a sympathetic look. "Willa, are you and Rio—?" Addison started to question. She cuts herself short when Willa spoke up and held out her manicured sharpened claws. "I swear to the moon if another person asks about our relationship I'm slitting their throat with my claws".

"Can you blame us?" Addison says with a slight chuckle at Willa's threat. "What?" Willa sat up in her seat and waited for Addison to continue. "River's been saying you've been acting weird since the school year started" The white-haired girl spoke about. "No, I haven't" Willa scoffed with a chuckle and smiled before it fell, listening to Addison.

"Really? 'Cause it's been three months and she's still not convinced" Addison stated as looked Willa up and down. Willa tilted her head to the side and slightly grinned out of confusion. "Convinced on what?" She asked. "Nothing..." Addison says before she closes her textbook and places it in her arms. "I should go find Zed" She says as she checks her phone. "Fuck a Zed. What did she tell you that she couldn't talk to me about?" Willa demands an answer, stopping the cheerleader from leaving.

"What haven't I been convincing about?" Addison stopped herself from zipping up her bag when she glanced over at Willa's sad look and sighed.

"Riv's not convinced that you want..." Addison began to speak just as the bell rang. "Well, would you look at that!" Addison says in relief as she motioned to the fact that they had to split ways. "No. What don't I want, Addison?" Willa says as the girl begins to leave her seat in a hurry. "Addison!" Willa shouted as the girl ran off. Willa scoffed in disbelief and thought about what had just happened. "Shh!" A boy with green round glasses hushed from across the room.

"Shut the fuck up!" The wolf snapped her head at the direction the action came from and growled, her eyes bright orange, and her claws out.
