It was a few months after the missile incident had occured. Due to the valiant efforts of Diana Cavendish and Atsuko Kagari (with the help of their friends and everyone else), a major catastrophe had been prevented. Everything went back to normal, well...for most of them anyways.

Time skip to two months

Akko's PoV:
I entered class with Lotte and Sucy only to be scolded by the teacher for being late...again. She really gave us an earful this early morning. Wish I could say the reason why we were late to the teacher, but it's just in one ear and out the other for her (It was because of Sucy's lil experiments on me). We just apologized and continued to find our seats. I sighed, thinking that this was going to be like all the other days. As I headed for my seat, in the corner of my eye, I see my rival. Or...in this case, she's also my crush.

Diana~

I'm not really sure when I started to have these feelings towards Diana, but if I had to guess, I guess it's probably the time when we worked together to stop that missile. Heh...maybe even before that, but I was too naive to figure that out. I also knew that I had to keep these feelings kept inside of me for a couple of reasons:

1) My friends, especially Sucy and Amanda would tease me endlessly about it.
2) I'm like...a lot of leagues below Diana, so someone like me would definitely not be suited for her.

It hurts, but...

Diana's PoV:
I was jotting down some notes when I heard the teacher scolding someone. I looked up and I watched as Akko and her friends get lectured for how many times already. Usually, I would get annoyed for how childish and irresponsible Akko is. But, ever since that incident, I just don't seem to be annoyed by it. In fact, I just can't seem to get her out of my head these days. That day when I found her all alone in the snow, hugging herself tightly after knowing the awful truth about Miss Ursula, I felt a sharp pang in my chest. It hurts my heart to see her like that, which at that time was quiet unusual for me. But now, everything seems so much clearer.

I really do adore her, but with my current status and mostly on how I treated her before this, I highly doubt that she would return these feelings.

It hurts, but...

Akko and Diana: (As long as she's happy, then I'm happy and I'll make sure to protect that smile of yours)
