Diana's PoV:
"What's taking her so long?" I asked myself, frantically pacing up and down the pavement as I thought to myself about the whereabouts of Akko. Was I late? Or perhaps I was too early? I glanced at the watch I had recently bought. It was around 2 in the afternoon; about half an hour late from Akko's designated time. I looked around, hoping to see her running towards me as always. Instead, not a single soul was in sight. Was that good or bad? I did not know, nor did I particularly care. I only had one thing in mind and that is to have a date with Akko. I smiled to myself just thinking about it.I finally stopped pacing and sat down on the nearest bench. I thought to myself "She probably has some things to do. I'll just wait for a few more moments." While sitting down, I recalled the day when Akko told me about her plan of taking me out on a date. But she never told me where she'll take me; said that it'll be a surprise. Well, any place that she takes me would be a great date regardless as long as it's with her. Just then, I hear the heavy thud of shoes on the brick pavements on my left. I turned my head and, sure enough...was Akko running towards me, carrying a small backpack with her.
Akko: Diana! I'm so sorry for the delay.
Diana: Come on, Akko. How many times are you be late for our dates?
Diana said that with a teasing manner, which made Akko pout.
Akko: I told you I'm sorry...I just had some stuff to do.
Diana: Did you?
Akko: Of course I did...I think.
Diana: Akko...
Akko: Okay, fine. I was quite worried about this whole date thing, since it's my first time taking someone out. I was worried that you're going to be disappointed.
Diana merely smiled and placed her hand Akko's cheeks.
Diana: Nothing you do would make me feel disappointed in you. Plus, it's just a date between us. Anything you plan is going to be fun.
Akko: Heh, you really do know just what to say. Thanks, Di.
Diana: Of course, you are my girlfriend, after all...
Akko: Heh, it makes me feel warm inside whenever you say that. Now, come on, let's proceed with "Akko's Awesome Date Plan".
Diana laughed heartily with Akko, then follows Akko to wherever she's taking her. Akko held Diana's hands, guiding her through the crowds on the other, which was much more packed then where Diana was waiting previously. Diana was blushing quite a bit when she realized that Akko was holding her hand. Although she was tempted to tell Akko about this, she shrugged it off, thinking that it was better this way; both for her and Akko.
After walking for quite some time, they both finally arrived at the spot Akko had told her about.
Akko: Ta-daaa!
Diana was surprised at what Akko had shown her. In front of her was a big blanket spreaded out under a big tree, providing shades in the small area. The gentle and cooling breeze of the wind touched both their cheeks and necks. There were a few people in the area minding their business, but both of them were trapped in their own world.
Diana: Akko, what is all this?
Akko: What do you think it is, silly? It's our date. We're gonna have a picnic together.
Diana looked around the scenery and the food and beverages that are on the picnic blanket. A bowl of fruits, some hand made sandwiches, some chips and crackers and a pitcher of ice cold lemonade.
