Chapter 18: Inconveniences

Diana's PoV:

Barbara: We'll see you guys back at the academy, alright?

Akko: Sure thing. Take care, you guys!

Akko and Diana waved goodbye towards Lotte and Barbara before departing ways.

Akko: Well, that was something, huh?

Diana: Indeed. I never imagined those two would be together. But I guess the world has its own mysteries to be discovered.

Akko: I guess. Well, what else do you want to do? We've finished all of our picnic food and we still got some time left. What's on your mind?

Diana: I thought you were the one that planned this date, Akko. Don't tell me there's nothing else to do...

Diana gave Akko a flirty stare which made her cheeks redden. Akko glanced to the side and laughed nervously.

Akko: O-of course I have other plans. I just...wanted to ask you if you wanted to go anywhere that you want.

Diana: Really, Akko?

Akko: D-Diana, you're a bit too close...

Diana closes the distance between them even more and gazed at Akko's face, to which she is rewarded with Akko's beet-like face. Diana stepped back and gave a heart laugh.

Diana: I'm just kidding, Akko. Any place you take me would be a great place for us to be at, as long as we're doing it together.

She then proceeded to hold Akko's hands and smiled at her. Akko can't help but sigh and smile back at her.

Akko: You know, for how cute you are, you can be a such a pain sometimes, you know..

Diana: Well, that is my job, isn't it?

The two of them shared a hearty laugh together.

Diana: So, where are we going next?

Akko: Well, according to the plans that I made, our next stop would be the art museum. What do you think?

Although quite subtle, Akko could've sworn she saw a tinge of sadness on Diana's facial expression, to which she quickly recovered and gave a thumbs up.

Diana: Sure, let's go there right now.

Akko: You sure? We can always go somewhere else. We don't have to go if you don't want to.

Diana: I'm alright, Akko. Plus, it's been quite some time since I've last went to an art museum.

Akko: Well, alright then. Let's go~

Akko then took Diana's hand and led her in the direction of the museum. Usually it would be Akko who would be flustered; now it's Diana's turn. She smiled and slightly rubbed her thumbs across Akko's hands. She thought to herself "I can never forget you, Akko. The girl that made me realize and inspire me who I want to be". While Akko and Diana are headed towards the museum, just a few distance away from them, a black hooded figure kept his distance while tailing the both of them, his right hand in his pocket. "You'll pay for this, Diana".

After walking for quite a bit, Akko and Diana finally arrived at the art museum. Akko was amazed at just how massive the building was. She looked at Diana, to which she saw her looking a bit sad. Akko was concerned and wanted to ask her about it but decided not to. She waited for a while before grabbing Diana's hands. Diana, seemingly in a light trance, woke up from it and looked at Akko.
