Y/n's POV:
Carefully laying Elizabeth on the sofa in a comfortable position and covering her with a blanket, I begin to clean up the mess in my apartment. I hope she didn't think I was a total slob who couldn't live on her own.
Approaching a small glass table, on which half-empty glasses and food containers are left, I find myself admiring the sleeping beautiful body in a kind of funny pose. Apparently, she doesn't like sleeping in normal positions, so she threw a pillow on the floor, dangled one leg off the couch, and placed her bent arm over her face, ruffling her hair as she did so.
It never ceases to amaze me that such a powerful career woman can sometimes look so adorable and vulnerable. I slowly remove her hand and hair from her stunning face so as not to wake her up, just as slowly I put her leg back on the sofa and a pillow under her head.
The clock now shows only almost 6 p.m., so she will probably wake up a bit later. I wonder if she will stay here for the night or decide to go home. I know in my head that the first option is something that I can't allow, but my heart will boycott me if I refuse it.
After I'm done with cleaning, I decide to eat the rest of the sushi and watch a couple more movies. The sound of the TV doesn't seem to interfere with Elizabeth's sleep in the slightest, and several hours fly by without me noticing as I sit on the couch and at the same time make sure that she sleeps peacefully.
By 10 p.m. I'm already finishing another thriller, and the sleeping beauty next to me begins to stir.
"Y/n? Oh my god, what time is it and what day is it?" She squints at the subdued light in the room, looking around in confusion as if she had just woken up from a five-year coma.
"Oh, you're still alive. Welcome back, you've been asleep for almost three days, El." I sound as serious as ever.
"What?!" Her eyes instantly go wide and she almost falls, tangled in a blanket, looking for her phone. It's the funniest reaction I've ever had from her and that's why I can't help but start laughing at her shocked state.
"Why are you laughing? Oh my god, my head is spinning, shut up!" She picks up her phone and I immediately meet her "are you fucking kidding me" face. "Asshole! I only slept four hours or so. And by the way, I think I'm still a little drunk. Wait, why do you seem totally okay?" Her facial expression is replaced by suspicion now. Oops.
"Maybe because I know my limits, hmm?" I tease her a little, but she just frowns back and looks down at the floor.
"Sorry. I should probably go home then." What? No no no, it's absolutely not what I wanted.
"El, wait, I didn't mean it like that at all, I'm so sorry, I didn't wanna hurt you. It's okay, really, I just drank very little and you can stay the night, I can't let you go home so late and in such a state" I take her hand, hoping that sincerity is heard in my voice and she will listen to me.
"Are you sure?" she asks and turns her hand so that our palms are touching.
"Yes, of course, I'll give you clean clothes and a new toothbrush."
Before she can answer, her phone rings and she furrows her brows as she glances at the screen. "Sorry, one minute, Y/n." Sighing, she picks up the phone.
"Yes, Boyd?" Shit, I forgot about him at all. Again. She probably needs to go home.
"No, I'm with my friend now and I'm gonna stay here for the night." Yay, I won this time.
"I already told you everything and now I have no desire to sort things out. We'll talk tomorrow. Yes. Bye." She hangs up and I patiently wait for what she's going to say.
