The next morning the girls woke up to the sounds of window curtains being opened allowing sunlight to stream in and light up the place. Aelia got up almost immediately, a smile shining brightly on her face. Her joyous expression morphed into one of confusion when she saw a beautiful woman with long, fiery, auburn hair, amber eyes and alabaster skin. Aelia was mesmerized. She couldn't stop staring at the gorgeous woman. She noticed she was wearing a type of long red coat, with blue embroidery on it, she thought the garment was stunning.

Kyra however was not a fan of the morning, when the curtains were first opened and light bathed the room, she hid her face in the pillows and scrunched her body up into a ball, an attempt to hide from the sun. She made groaning noises, voicing her opinion on being woken up, letting everyone in the room know she wanted nothing more than to be left alone to sleep.

"Come on you, it's time to wake up." The woman stated in a gentle yet stern tone, she had a smooth voice, however despite the warmness evident in her voice, Kyra shot straight up out of bed, alarmed at the unfamiliar person in her room. Being the older of the twins, Kyra was always the protective one, she has always felt obligated to protect her little sister, and she saw the new voice as a threat.

However once Kyra laid eyes on the woman, her face of determination turned into a conflicted one, without noticing the little girl was staring, she was captivated by this woman's beauty, and has never seen anyone so gorgeous. The woman stared back, a small smile on her face, yet the look on her eyes portrayed a different emotion, and the girl could see that. Kyra didn't understand why she was sad, but it looked to her as if she was remembering something, recalling old memories, she decided to ignore it and finally came back to her senses.

"Who you?" The young shadow summoner questioned in a curious tone.

"My name is Genya, what's your name?" Genya knew the answer of course, before she had come to wake them up, the general had told her their names, which one was on which bed and who could summon what. Nonetheless, she asked, she wanted to establish a level of trust with the two young summoners, not only because the darkling had instructed her too, but because these were the daughters of her once best friend.

When Kyla didn't answer, Aelia stepped in for her, "Me is Aelia, and that Kyra."

"Thank you Aelia, do you girls know why I am here?" Genya questioned, they both shook their heads no. "Well the darkling asked me to get you two ready because he is going to train you two today." she finished

"Darkling is shadow man who came yesterday?" Kyra asked, confused. Genya nodded her head back to her.

"Is he gon' teach us magic?" Aelia asked excitedly with a smile broken out on her face.

Genya frowned slightly before answering, "What grisha do is not magic, it is something called small science, magic is making something, what you will learn to do is control what is already there, around you." The twins looked at her, still quite confused but they didn't say anything about it.

"You grisha?" Kyra quietly asked, she didn't want to offend Genya, just in case she wasn't.

"No need to be scared of me Kyra, I won't hurt you, but yes, I am grisha. I am corporalnik, I am something called a tailor, I can change things about someone, for example, I could change the colour of your hair, or change the shape of your eyes. The twins looked at her with wide eyes, identical expressions on their face, Genya giggled slightly, it was like seeing double with these two.

"Can show?" Aelia asked excitedly, hopping up and down hoping she would say yes.

"Come here," Was all the tailor replied with, Aelia ran over with no hesitation, Genya picked up a small gold necklace and waved her hand over it, she then waved her hand over Aelia's hair. Now threaded through her hair were gold strands weaved in, making her look saintly. A huge smile appeared on the young girls face, spreading from ear to ear, she was beaming, and it looked like her smile could light up the world, like it was brighter than the light she could one day control to summon.

Kyra watched in awe and yelled "ME, ME, ME, ME TOO, CAN DO ME?". Genya laughed a little and waved her over, she repeated the same thing with Kyra, however instead of using a gold necklace, she grabbed a silver one, the tiny strands making it look like her hair was glowing under moonlight. The young twins marveled over their new hair.

"Alright girls, there's no more time to waste, we have to get you two bathed and dressed for the general to start teaching you two how to summon." Genya said in a tone that suggested this was a final decision and there was no arguing with her.

The twins' eyes went wide at the mention of a bath, they turned to look at each other mischievously before they linked hands and ran out of the room.

They whizzed through the hallways, taking random lefts and rights, running in-between people's legs, trying to lose Genya, they saw some stairs and where about to run up them, when they felt themselves being picked up, one arm around each of their waists, they looked down and saw a black sleeve. They immediately knew who it was because they hadn't seen anyone else wearing black.

"And where do you two think you're going?" The Darkling asked in a cool tone.
