Evan warmed up Linden's bottle. His hair was mattered and there were dark circles underneath his eyes. Today marked day four of no sleep over these people after him.

"Juniper, would you mind getting Linden from her nap?" He asked her tiredly. Juniper gave him a kind smile and nodded.

"Mr. Rose," Blaise knocked on the door, "I'm a friend of Evan's. I'd like to talk." The door swung open exposing Johnny.

"Come in," Blaise was ushered in, "Did he send you? Does he want to talk?"

"Not necessarily. The friend group that we're in want to lock you both in a room and force you two to deal with these issues." Blaise informed. Moira exited the bathroom.

"Oh, hello. Your Evan's companion, correct?" She asked, putting on her earrings.

"Yes, I am. Do you mind if I steal your husband for a second?" He asked.

"Of course."

Evan was pushed into the Pensieve room with no answer to his many demands to know what the hell was happening.

"Let me out!" He hollered angrily. Johnny was sitting on the padded sofa.

"No one's there, Evan," Johnny said softly, "Come, sit down." Evan narrowed his eyes and did as told.

"What in the fuck knuckles are we doing here?" He asked. Johnny grabbed his tense hand.

"Why do you hate me, Evan?"  Evan raised an eyebrow.

"I don't hate you."

"Yes, you do. You yelled at me yesterday. It hurt, Evan. To have your child tell you you were just a sperm donor tears you up," Evan let out a sigh, "I want a relationship with you. I'll do anything."

"I find that hard to believe." He said snarkily.

"Evan, did anything at the hospital mean anything to you?" Johnny asked. He was ready to give up on trying to form a relationship.

"I-I don't remember." He stammered. Johnny let out a sigh and leaned back.

"This was useless."

"I'm trying!" Evan yelled frustratedly. He rubbed his face tiredly, "I can't remember."

"I'll tell you then. You said you didn't want me to apologize." Evan sulked at his father's words, "What did I do wrong?"

"I asked my mum every day who you were. You can't blame a kid for being curious. I wanted to meet you so badly, but no matter how many pictures I saw, and newscasts I watched, I despised you. Then I met you and you gave off this vibe like I wasn't welcome. For years, I'd try to get your attention. I just gave up after two years." The minister shrugged.

"Is it too late?" Johnny asked. Evan gave him a small smile.

"We'll play it by ear." He stood up and went over to the cabinet with his name on it. He pulled out a random vile.

"I want to show you something." He poured the memory in the cauldron and stirred it with his wand.

---

Evan lay in his bed dressed in his pajamas and Zurich on his pillow. Silvanna came into the room and tucked him in.

"Mummy," Evan asked, "What was daddy like?" Silvanna sighed and knelt near Evan's head.

"He runs a large company," There was a pause, "Your father was a very nice man. He had a wife but they separated. He left us before you, my little angel, were born." She kissed Evan on the forehead and went to her bed to sleep.

*

There was a loud crash. Evan was startled awake at the sudden noise. The door creaked open and he heard footsteps. Evan got scared and used the secret passageway from his room to Silvanna's. She lay there sleeping peacefully. Evan crawled to her and shook her awake.

"Mummy?" Evan asked softly. She groaned and turned to him, her brilliant green eyes reflected the moonlight. She pushed a strand of her silver hair out of the way.

"What's wrong bub?" She asked. He explained the situation to her while shaking. She sighed and grabbed her wand from the bedside.

"Do you want me to go check with you?" She asked. Evan timidly nodded and hid behind her legs. The two crept down the steps when we heard a crash. Evan started to shake. They got into the kitchen and saw Tom there.

"Tom?" Silvanna said softly. Tom started to breathe heavily. Silvanna pushed Evan onto the wall. She walked slowly to Tom. He turned around and pointed his wand at her. Silvanna started crying.

"Tom, please." She choked out, " Don't do this."

"Avada Kedavra!" The green light hit her and she fell lifeless to the floor. Evan's eyes widened. Tom rounded on the child with his wand ready to cast the curse again. He ran out the side door and down the street.

---

Evan stared at the cauldron blankly.

"Is that..."

"Yes." he sat back down and clasped his hands together. Johnny went to open the door to leave, "I'm bisexual." Evan blurted out. Johnny pulled him into a hug.

"This doesn't change anything." He whispered.

"Good. Then this shouldn't either, I had prostate cancer."
