My morning was uneventful. Now I sat in a chair at the round table stroking Zephyr's feathers. Dad was putting on one of his many suits for his unemployment meeting today. I sighed silently as the two started a conversation. It was annoying that Dad couldn't say unemployment.

"Hey!" I snapped my fingers. The two looked at me and I pulled out of my wallet full of muggle money. I started flipping through it. I pulled out $600 and a fake business card. I put the card and cash into his hand.

"The person is going to ask you for your employer. Give her this card and the cash is for you," I said. They looked at me and then at what I gave them.

"Why?" Mother asked. I turned and smirked at her.

"Because I'm nice like that."

Time skip

I sat alone waiting for my food in a booth at the café. I heard someone slid into the seat in front of me. I looked up and met Hermione's beautiful brown eyes.

"Good afternoon, darling," I said. She gave me a sly smile.

"Pet names already." She stated amused. I gave her my signature smirk.

"You know it," I said. I moved and sat next to her. My head rested on her shoulder.

"'Mione how do I tell my dad I'm 'special'?" I whispered. She frowned and turned to me. Hermione flicked my forehead.

"You daft idiot! Why haven't you told them?" She scolded. I rubbed my forehead and looked down ashamed.

"Things change!" I told her, " I didn't trust him, well like him, but now I do. He's the last person I have in my family, I can't lose him!" She sighed and played with my fingers.

"Get him alone then reveal. I have a feeling you don't want the others to find out." I gave a small smile. Twyla came over with my order and placed it between the two of us. She gave me a knowing look and walked off.

"You want some?" I offered to Hermione. She declined, explaining that she just ate. She and I sat in comfortable silence. I finished and we went up to pay. We walked back to the motel hand-in-hand planning to read some books. I opened the door laughing. Muffled voices were heard from next door.

"Evy, who's next door?" Hermione asked. I shrugged and opened my trunk. I grabbed two books. I tossed one to her and sat on the trunk. She laid across my legs and opened her book. They were non-fiction books. I was reading a book on moral ethics and she read a book on the Goblin Wars. Dad walked through the door and looked at me then at Hermione. He raised an eyebrow and smirked.

"So-" He started. I put my hand up.

"No. Shut up and follow me." I got up and yanked him out the door. I pulled him behind the motel and stuck out my arm.

"Grab it," I demanded. He looked at me confused.

"My arm! Grab my arm!" He wrapped his hand on it. I apparated us to a field near the motel. There was a pop and we were at the field. He wobbled a bit and stood up. There wasn't any vomit. The surprise must have been evident on my face.

"What?" Dad asked. I shook my head and whipped out my wand.

"People usually throw up when apparating," I said while putting up some charms. I turned to him and conjured two chairs.

"Sit, I have many things to tell." I sat across from his seat. He sat and crossed a leg. I took a deep breath.

"So you know of wizards, yes?" He nodded, "Good, well they are real and I am a wizard. You must keep this a secret though."  He looked dazed. I waved my hand in his face.

"Hello? Earth to Dad?" I said in a sing-song voice. He shook his head.

"My son's a wizard." He muttered. I chuckled and put a hand on his shoulder.

"There's more. My uncle used to go by the name Tom Riddle before he decided to 'purify' the Wizarding World of muggle-borns and start to take over the world. In the first Wizarding War, it was prophesied that a boy would best him, thus, ending the war. In my fifth year at my Wizard School, he rose again during a Tournament which myself and the Chosen were put into unwillingly." I sighed and thought about Cedric's lifeless body, "Now, we are in part two." It took a moment for him to process everything.

"Wow. Can you show me some magic?" I let out a hearty laugh and waved my wand. A silver lion sprung out the end and ran around Dad and me. I smiled as the lion vanished into the air. I turned back to him.

"Don't tell anyone," I said in a deadly low voice. He nodded vigorously and we apparated back.
