YEARS APART

A sugary debut

" Hyorine left back to Korea, early this morning"

He looked at Minho, exchanging looks with him. Everyone looked confused at the sudden news.

" Left back... suddenly ? " he said calmly. Seungmin sighed and looked away

" It's a bit complicated ... " He said remembering his and Hyorine's meeting this morning.

Flashback
Seungmin couldn't sleep after hearing that Hyorine met Hyunjin again. His mind kept going on and on about every possible thought regarding this matter. Obviously, sleeping is impossible. He gazed at Minho who was sleeping soundlessly. He seems tired, he thought. Seungmin decided to take a brief walk after checking the time. It was 4 in the morning, and nothing seems to help. Making his way downstairs, he noticed someone's shadow.

" Hyorine ? "
He called her name when seeing her heading outside. She stopped and looked back at him. Seungmin's confused looks says it all. After seeing her dressed up, heading outside with the suitcase in her hand, he understood it all.

" Are you leaving ?! " he asked as he stepped closer to her. Hyorine watched his worried expressions then looked away.

" Ma'am "
A man called and they both looked at him. Hyorine handed him her suitcase then looked at Seungmin.

" Wait this is so sudden ! Why are you leaving now ? Is it because of that man ? " he said but she wasn't answering.

" You don't have to run away ! He can't do anything to you ! " he said, holding both her shoulders tightly.

" Seungmin " she called his name

" Don't go like this ... "

" Seungmin "

" Don't go ... Please "

Hyorine smiled at him. He was titling his head towards the ground while grabbing her shoulders. This is hard for him, she could sense it from the way he was avoiding looking at her face. However, she can't go back now.
Hyorine took a scarf from her bag and wrapped it around Seungmin's neck. He silently watched her when she was doing so, trying to say all the untold talk with his eyes. She finished and looked at his eyes then smiled warmly

" It's cold now, you should stay warm "
Hyorine sighed and continued

" Running away... you can call it whatever you want, it doesn't matter. For me, I can't stand being in the same place with that man. I think that's why I'm doing this... or maybe not. I have to go back anyways, so I'll take it as the best excuse to leave this place "
Seungmin didn't say anything and kept looking at her. She slowly hugged him and let out a deep breath.

" Seungmin, don't worry about me. Time will take care of everything. We just have to keep surviving everytime "
She broke the hug and handed him a letter.

" Give it to Jisung. He deserves an apology "
Hyorine smiled at Seungmin and turned around heading towards the door.

" You won't regret this... will you ? " he said and she stopped.

" Are you sure that you're taking the right decision ? " Seungmin said calmly. She stood a bit far facing him with her back. The wind played with her hair, moving it slowly to her right side. She lifted her head up and closed her eyes. Moments passed then she looked back at him while smiling.
