" The worst battle is between what you know and what you feel "
- Pangeen" Yes... Yes I understand. I'll take care of it. I'll do my best Sir "
Mark, Hyunjin's bodyguard placed the phone away and glanced at Hyunjin from the passenger seat. he was talking with the chairman's secretary, and things doesn't seem pleasant. the news spread widely, putting Hyunjin in a tight position.
" We must head to the mansion. old master is waiting there for you " stated Mark. he silently watched Hyunjin who was going through his phone. He behaved like nothing happened and everything was normal.
" Sir.. Are you okay ?"
" Why shouldn't I be okay ? " Hyunjin smiled and waved with his phone
" Thanks to that girl, my name is on the top search everywhere " he said and laughed. Mark glanced at the driver as they exchanged confused looks.
" Stop the car " Hyunjin suddenly ordered
" Is there anything you need ? " Mark asked while the driver stopped at Hyunjin's order. as soon as the car stopped, he got off walking away.
" S-Sir !! where are you going ?! your father is waiting for you !-"
" Then go pay him a visit on my behalf. looks like you miss him more than I do " Hyunjin shouted from afar. Mark sighed then looked at the driver hopelessly.
Hyunjin walked across the streets heading somewhere. the weather was cold and he wasn't putting on enough clothes to warm his body. he placed his hands inside his jacket, and walked a bit faster than earlier. Arriving at a pedestrian lane, he stood patiently waiting for the green light to cross the road to the other side with other people.
" Mommy look! It's snow!"
" Yes it's snowing dear "
" Yaay ! "
the little girl who was very happy to see the snow while showing it to her mother caught his attention. Hyunjin looked up, observing how snow was falling straight and steadily from a sky without wind. He smiled at the feeling of cold crystalline snow touching his skin. When he closed his eyes, he felt the comfort and stillness of his soul. He sincerely wished that he could spend longer time at that crossroads, so that he can finally breathe freely, even for a few moments. A soul with hidden scars, finds silence in the forgotten moments of life. Isn't it hard, to feel lonely and devastated while others are happy and content ?
*isn't that man the one they're talking about?
*you're right! it's him
*Hwang Hyunjin was it?
Hyunjin opened his eyes and sighed. some girls gathered behind him and started taking photos, while others kept talking about the news and the slap he got. however, Hyunjin couldn't care less. he just hoped for the light to turn green so that he could cross.
" Green light... finally " he said and started walking. the little girl came running and grabbed onto him tightly
" Ru ! what are you doing ?! " her mother came immediately and pulled her away from him. However, that girl came back and hugged his leg again. she looked so tiny in front of him due to the height difference.
" I-I'm really sorry she usually doesn't behave this way! Ru darling let go of big brother okay? Let's not bother him "
" No.." she replied without looking at her mother
" RU !! we are in the middle of the road! stop and come here - "
" It's okay " Hyunjin said and squatted down, matching the little girl's level. she lifted her head and looked at him with her cute chubby face. Hyunjin patted her head and looked around
