Redamancy

It was a long day full of confrontations. People flocked to witness the downfall of a family whose star has long shone among influential families, and many journalists were present to write details and articles. There was a lot of noise in the courtroom which prompted the judge to request that the courtroom be cleared a little in order to tighten order. Tara sat in her seat without saying anything, unlike her husband who often made some noise by disputing some of the claims of the lawyers who led the case against them.

Time passed and the witnesses testified, and the defendants were called in order to take their statements. It was Tara's turn, and before she could say anything, her eyes wandered around the hall, searching for a face. But soon her hopes vanished because she did not see who she had hoped to see.

After her turn was over, she returned to her seat feeling completely calm. During her speech, Tara made interesting statements about an old case : It was Mr Kim's case.

And who would have thought that she was behind what happened and that she planned it through framing the man. She also provided the court with audio recording evidence of her speaking with Mr. Kim, and confirmed that she used that information against him, which made it easy to frame him. Her husband went crazy after hearing her words, while the other side's lawyers looked at each other in disbelief. Why would this woman do something that would cost her even more than her original sentence?

No one understood what or why she did it, but it was enough for her to understand alone. Tara sat smiling, leading some to think she had gone crazy.

The trial ended within a week, and the evidence presented by Tara regarding the old case was reconsidered and validated. Because of this, Mr. Kim was summoned to court, where a statement was issued completely clearing him of the previous charges, and the court also offered him an official apology and compensation for what happened to him.

Regarding Chan's father, he took the punishment of Forty years in prison, in addition to financial compensation and a total seizure of all the property in his name. As for his wife, her original sentence was thirty years with compensation, but the judge decided to make it twenty-five years because her statement was a reason for clearing Mr. Kim's name.

After the verdict was issued, Tara sat waiting for the police car that was to take her to the prison where she would spend the next twenty-five years.

The voices of the journalists were so loud, and the place was filled with the lights of the cameras that were taking pictures of her, but she didn't care about any of that. She was sitting silently looking at the ground, indifferent to anything. In the midst of all that noise, someone came forward and stood beside her. Tara raised her head and was shocked to see Charles there. One of the police guards tried to prevent him from coming near or talking to her, but he was soon stopped by his lawyer, who brought permission from the court to speak to her.

The meeting of the mother and her son did not last long, and they did not talk much. They sat next to each other and no one spoke, as if they were talking silently. Tara smiled, then looked forward and asked

" Won't you ask any questions ? " Tara said calmly

" I won't, it wouldn't make any sense even if I did " Charles smiled then added

" Instead, won't you ask about my reasons ? "

" I will not. What's the point in asking now ? " Tara sighed then added

"I knew I would pay for my mistakes sooner or later, yet I never imagined how it will happen. This is kind of surprising "

" You know that this talk will not affect anything, nor will it change anything " Charles uttered, looking at the huge commotion the journalists were causing outside.
