She gave him the "are you serious? " Look and he laughed at her reaction that never fails to crack him up.
" I was just thinking about this and that " He said jokingly
" This and that? I know you better than anyone else Charles " She replied calmly. As their conversation went on, the waiter was placing the plates Charles already ordered based on his knowledge of Hyorine.
" Then what was I thinking about, mind reader? " He asked playfully
" You were thinking about the past. Right? " One word from her was enough to snitch the smile away from Charles's face.
Sometimes the worst place you can be is in your own head, where all the past memories, past regrets, past choices reside. The place where your mind replays what your heart can't delete.
