We have a new cover! I had always wanted to change the cover. Finally found some time do so. It's more warm, colourful and sunny like the relationship Nik and Sharu share, isn't it?
Coming to the other thing, so I just noticed that the votes on the previous two chapters have reduced. I wonder if it's got to do with the chapters. Are long chapters the issue? I am always open to constructive criticism. So do tell me if something is not going right in your opinion. Please do take a minute to go back and vote for the previous chapters if you missed to do so.
And, I hope you enjoy this chapter.

Sharanya couldn't fall asleep after that kiss. It literally stole her breath away. He had whispered 'good night' soon after the kiss and had laid down beside her. The room was dark. She could hear his breathing, lacking the natural rhythm just as hers.
This thing between them was growing to be so powerful that it left Sharanya overwhelmed. She didn't know if their kissing was up to the mark or done right, but she absolutely enjoyed it.
Nikhil was glad he had backed off in time. A part of him wanted to dissolve the sexual tension between them by doing the deed but there was another part that was nervous about it. He didn't want to screw up.
* * *
Nikhil sat up in the middle of night. His stomach growled. He was sick of the out of pattern sleep cycle. He grabbed the water bottle from the nightstand and slowly drank from it. His stomach wasn't satisfied. He was hungry. He let out a yawn, rubbed his eyes and wore his glasses. Did they have any food in the suite? There were packets of biscuits and chips that they had bought. He didn't really have any other option. Nikhil wondered if the restaurant downstairs would be open at the hour. It was minutes past two in the dead of the night. It probably wouldn't.
"What happened?" Sharanya mumbled groggily looking at him.
"Uh, nothing, go back to sleep," He said softly. Maybe the shifting of the mattress had woken her up.
She sat up and looked at him. "Are you okay?"
"Yes, go to sleep. I am just hungry, I will eat some biscuits." He said, watching her.
She let out a soft yawn, tying up her hair. "I will cut fruits for you."
Nikhil was rendered speechless. If anyone woke him up to cut fruits at night he'd want to cut them. He watched as she got off the bed and still half in sleep, walked out of the room. Feeling guilty he followed her trail. She didn't have to do this for him. But he'd be dishonest if he didn't accept that her gesture made him feel nice.
"Sharanya, you didn't have to wake up. I would have managed." He said, sitting beside her on the ottoman as she peeled the apple.
"It's okay," she mumbled, slicing the apple onto the plate that rested on her lap.
Nikhil watched her, his respect for her deepened.
"Hmm," He extended his plate to her offering her the fruit, when she handed it to him.
She shook her head in a negative and peeled another one. In the silent, dimly lit room, at the unearthly hour of the night, they sat quietly, while Nikhil ate. He was actually super hungry.
