I was a little disappointed by the response in the last chapter. I am guessing it's because it wasn't a very easy to digest romantic chapter. We're all used to scenes where the guy knows how to do all the right things or the deed happens very smoothly and in the most romantic way ever. Anyway, I would really appreciate constructive honest feedback. It always helps!

"You're such a weirdo, Nikhil!
"Perv!"
Nikhil woke up startled. He looked around warily. The morning light came in through the windows, filtered by the curtains. Sharanya was not next to him. He exhaled sharply running a hand through his hair.
He was clueless why he'd see a nightmare like that. It was Sharanya's voice. She hated him, she was disgusted. Of course, she would be. He was reliving that awkward day but it was Sharanya instead of Maithli.
Irritated he got off the bed, grabbing his glasses from the nightstand. He looked at the time. It was a few minutes to seven. Why hadn't Sharanya woke him up?
Throughout the time he brushed his teeth, he stared at the mirror. He knew he could get a perfect erection. But was totally clueless why it had faded last night. Was their really a biological problem with him? No there wasn't. Only weeks back they had gone for the medical tests, all his reports were okay. Hell, there were times when he had to help himself to get a release to do away with the erection. Then why did he fail last night.
He was annoyed. He didn't want to go out and face Sharanya. It was embarrassing. Did she figure out last night? His hand paused, the foam in his mouth. What if she knew he had lost it!
Maybe he could pretend like nothing happened last night, he thought to himself as he spat and gargled.
Sharanya walked out of the kitchen with a steaming cup of coffee in his hand, when she heard sounds from the dining table. Nikhil sat there drinking water.
"Good morning," she greeted with a bright smile, placing down his cup of coffee.
Nikhil sized her up. She had already taken a bath and was dressed in her office formals. She wore an apron over her dress. He managed a smile, and forced a polite greeting out of his mouth, "Good morning,"
"Slept well?" She asked. She definitely had. She wondered if it was to do with all the intense make out they had last night.
He nodded, picking up his coffee mug.
"Thought you'd need it today." She said softly. Maybe he had slept well too which is why he skipped his morning jog routine.
He nodded.
Sharanya traced her steps back to the kitchen. Maybe she had to give him some time to wake up fully. He seemed rather uninterested in talking. She had thought that their equations would have changed after last night. She was expecting more of those stolen kisses, surprise touches and endearing eye contacts.
A little romance in the air wouldn't hurt. But Nikhil seemed to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed.
Honestly, she had done quite some thinking last night. She hadn't felt as terrified as she thought she would feel to have him see her bare. If anything, he seemed to really appreciate what he saw.
