Nikhil's steps faltered as he neared his room. He could hear his wife's voice. The door of their room was ajar. He intently stilled and listened as he heard his name.

"I am rearranging Nikhil's clothes. I have no idea how, but it's all messed up in a week. I mean how hard it is to just remove clothes without messing up the arrangement?"

Intrigued, Nikhil carefully peeped inside his room to see who was with his wife. He saw a pile of clothes on the bed against which her phone was placed. He titled his head, his gaze finally catching glimpse of Sharanya as she stood with his cupboard wide open arranging his clothes.

"Why don't you teach him, like you taught me?" He heard the voice echo from the mobile device. It was followed with a giggle. Listening to that Nikhil already had a image of Akshaya in his mind.

"By the way, how's the new job?" The voice emitted from the mobile device.

"Good so far."

"And how is Nikhil?"

"He's doing well." Sharanya answered shuttling between the bed and wardrobe with hangers in her hand.

"How does it feel like being married and all?"

Sharanya turned to look at hr sister who had been on the call since past five minutes asking random questions. "What is it that you what to actually ask me but you're unable to?"

Akshaya shrugged. "Nothing like that. I was just curious...you know about your life."

"Akshu, what is it?"

"How is your M.I.L?"

"Amma?"

"Yes, M.I.L, short for mother-in-law."

"She's doing fine too... you--"

Sharanya was interrupted as her sister when ton to ask, "do you gel well?"

"Yes we do." Sharanya answered momentarily pausing to put their gelling well to a scale. She was about to say something when she ended up sneezing.

"And do you plan to have kids?"

"What!" Sharanya exclaimed looking at the screen. Her sister was suddenly asking these questions put if no where. Some of them made Sharanya jump out of her skin.

"What! Why you reacting like that? It's the next logical thing right. You find a guy, you like one, then you get engaged and then you marry and then you go on a honeymoon and then you have kids." Akshaya chirped.

"Okay, the next logical thing would be for you to stop beating around the bush and tell me what you actually called to tell me? What is it? Is Papa doing fine? Does he eat too many sweets? When did you last check his BP and sugar?"

"He's absolutely fine. He's joined some yoga class for elder citizens."

"That's a development." Sharanya murmured. When she pressed him to go for yoga he never listened. "What about Harshit?"

"We are still having cold war. Until he apologizes for being rude to me, I am not warming up."

Sharanya sighed. It was easier to resolve things between her siblings when she was around. But off late, Harshit was being absolutely difficult. It was beginning to worry Sharanya. First she thought it was the stress of new job and the responsibilities that would naturally fall onto his shoulders once she was married. But is anything, Harshit had isolated himself from not just her but Akshaya too. What was that man up to?
