Chapter 21: Who the heck is this????

The young child in my arms is weak and thin. Her pale skin makes her even look weak.

"Eighth!" A young child ran towards Lena with the child in her arms. The young child is battered and wounded, but she still ran with an injured leg, making her walk imbalance.

"Are you ok? Wake up!"

"Seventh..." The young child named Eight said with a weak voice.

"My stomach hurts..."

"Why? Are you injured anywhere?" Seventh said in a worry.

"I'm-I'm..." Both listen attentively to what the weak child is saying.

"Hungry..."

"Ohh" Lena said making Seventh and Eight look at her.

Lena noticed that the sling bag that Uncle Ben always gives to her when he gives food is still on to her.

Because of the panic, she didn't realize that she only let go of the cake box and her school backpack.

When Lena was about to say something, Seventh looked in the forest direction with fear.

Looking at Lena and Eighth, she both grabs them both as they were sucked in unknown darkness.

From the forest, students from Lena's school arrived.

Ares, Ryuji, Gren, and Bloo are walking at the train tracks.

"The aura of the Spirit is around here" Glen said as she scans the place for remaining traces.

"This is weird. How can a Spirit just vanish in thin air like that?" Ryuji asked.

"Unless... It is a mutated Spirit." Bloo said as he looks at Ryuji.

Spirits are being formed from nature. A connection contract can be done between a human and a spirit.

In olden times, they were abundant, but because of industrialization, many were gone because of the destruction of their homes.

Spotting a spirit near the city is not that rare, most of them were newborns and cannot wander far from their home, but spirits with strong capability were highly pursued by many but having a contract with it is hard unless the two parties agree to be in a contract, or a forced contract is done.

However, a mutated spirit is unique, it can use a dimension warp that only strong, mostly old spirits can do. Even though they are young, they have very useful abilities.

"We were supposed to catch a spirit deep in the forest to help a young junior, but to think we encounter such a rare spirit, how lucky" Ares said with a surprised look on his face.

"If this knowledge will be known to others, there will surely be an uproar" Gren said while readying her weapon, a whip attached to her belt.

"And it seems, we have a guest."

A blonde curly hair with blue eyes man and a green-haired man with yellow eyes appeared.

The blonde hair is carrying a steel pole while the green hair is carrying a sickle with chains attached to its handle.

Both were standing on a roof of a waiting shed. Those archer symbols in their armbands signify that they were-

"Hunters" Bloo looked at them.

Ares, Ryuji, Gren, and Bloo also have armbands with different crests. Ares has a symbol of a flaming flower, while Ryuji, Gren, and Bloo have unique clock design as a symbol in their armbands.

It is a unique armband where it is attached with conditional power. It cannot be taken nor given to others; it will remain stuck to the person unless the person wants it to remove. The armband will not show its unique designs if an imposter tried to use it.
