Chapter 16: Senior Cuya, are you a magical girl!?

Jiao-long's P.O.V.

One day, the teacher suddenly tells us something urgent. The teacher has sensed from the protection talisman of junior Lena that she met a 'Skotadi'.

That's why the teacher brought me and my senior brother to catch it. We followed junior Lena and saw her interacting with the being.

'Skotadi' are beings formed from negative emotions. They are evolved from it and usually, it takes a very long time.

These beings are evil in nature and strong, so handling it is something even professionals feared.

The moment I saw the Skotadi, a chill ran up from my spine. Even the third senior brother who is a laid-back person has a serious face looking at it.

We are far from them, and yet, the hidden aura of the being with a child look was terrifying to us with enhanced senses.

The moment that Lena and the Skotadi part, the teacher ordered us to observe from here. The situation is dangerous, thus, only the master will engage.

To think that Lena was able to stand near its presence without dying is a miracle. I feel a sense of urgency to protect my junior from such being.

She may have survived interacting with it, but what about the other time? She might get hurt by such a powerful being.

The teacher has immediately subdued the being and brought it back to the dojo.

The teacher sealed it in one of the rooms, yet it was able to release itself overnight. The learning capability of this one is dangerous.

I saw my junior from the distance and the being tackle her.

"Junior Lena, don't be deceived by such appearance, that thing is terrifying!"

I readied my weapon and was ready to strike. My junior cannot see it but, black vines started to spread from its back.

I can sense that it was dangerous. I cannot let my Junior get hurt! And-PAK! I got unconscious.

The aura of the meeting hall is serious. There 5 disciples that the teacher has accepted, and Lena is the youngest.

All the disciples were in knee sitting position. The left side of the teacher is where the first disciple, Xana, the second disciple, Cuya, the third disciple, Yato is seated, facing Lena's side.

While on the right side is where the fourth disciple, Jiao-long with a big bump on his head, and Lena have seated. Behind her is the child, clutching to her uniform. In the center is the master of the dojo.

The look of other disciples was cautious and serious because of the presence of the child. The teacher is actually shocked that the 'Skotadi' didn't release his dense aura, as if fearing to hurt Lena.

Lena was unique compared to other disciples. She did not have supernatural abilities like her seniors, yet the gate allowed her to enter.

The presence of this dojo is invisible to the eyes of normal humans and other beings that the gate doesn't approve of. Lena who first appeared has a tiring face after climbing the stairs gave me shocked thinking how a normal human being even entered.

Even if that's the case, I offer her to be one of my disciples since she passes the test. And her only words at that she spoke was, "The map said there's a shrine here, so, I just want to see it."

What a funny child.

Such nostalgic memories, anyways I should concentrate for today's meeting, the teacher thought as all disciples sit.

"I have called all of you for something important and it is regarding the child behind you Lena."

"Before that, Lena you are obligated to know this since you are one of my disciples."

Senior Xana raised her hand to say something.

"What is it, Xana?"

"Teacher, I know that Junior Lena is one of your disciples, but that child hasn't manifested her ability. I am asking this question, not degrading her being but rather, worried if she can accept such facts as a normal person. As the eldest, I can't help but worry about her well-being."

One by one the disciples all raised their hands except Lena.

The teacher stroked his beard while looking at his disciples.

"And all of you have the same thoughts?" The teacher asked the disciples.

"Yes, teacher!" All replied in unison.

"Then what about you Lena?" The teacher asked me.

Everyone looked at Lena in unison.

Lena looked at the child and then looked at the floor contemplating, then to the teacher.

"Teacher, I want to know." The disciples looked at Lena with shock.

"Seeing that the seniors are trying to prevent it, I know that learning such information might endanger me, but I want to know, I want to share the burden that my senior disciples are carrying. I don't want to be the person who didn't know the truth.

"If something happened to me, I would not blame it on anyone and accept my fate. I'm happy to be part of this family and willing to carry it as a disciple of teacher." Lena looked at the teacher with determination.

In this world, I will not be able to avoid such circumstances. The fact that I saw magical girls yesterday fighting is more mind-blowing than this, Lena thought to herself.

As a mob, no matter what I chose, danger still lurks. There are even circumstances where even the strongest warrior was nothing but a steppingstone. If that's the case, I would rather know the truth than hiding from it.

The disciples with Lena smiled with a smug.

"Hahaha!" Teacher suddenly laughs out loud with teary eyes.

"As expected of my disciple! Determined, mature, and responsible! Jiao-long you should learn from your junior!"

Teacher, what are you saying? Is this something to be unexpected for them? Lena looks at them questionably because of their reactions.

"To think my junior has grown so much makes me happy. Jiao-long, be like her." Senior Yato added.

"Yeah, Jiao-long, be considerate too like our youngest." Senior Cuya teased.

"Hey! When did it shift to me like this!? Lena, aren't I reliable too!?" Senior Jiao-long complained.

"Of course, senior, it just sometimes you do things recklessly." Lena replied.

The disciples laugh as they tease Jiao-long.

To think my disciples have grown so much, as their teacher I'm happy. But it doesn't change the dangers the Skotadi brings. The teacher thought as he looks to his disciples.

"Lena, the world we live in is not as it appears, there are beings that are invisible to the human eye. Not all of them are evil. Just like humans, some people like to spread chaos and some people are good. It's the same concept with them, but with supernatural powers."

"Cuya, show her" the Teacher commanded.

The second disciple stand-up and started to glow. Senior Cuya are you a magical girl?! Lena thought as she looks in shock. Why is there a lot of sparkles?

The lights surround him, and his hair started to change. The spikey red-violet hair became yellow.

"As you can see, such sudden changes are impossible in humans. Your senior is still human, but he is one of those who have abilities to interact with invisible beings to the human eyes."

"Ohh, I understood." I answered.

"It might be hard to underst- wait, you understood?" The teacher asks Lena with a shock on his face.

"I have seen someone transform like senior Cuya. They look as if fighting something, but in my eyes, I can't see it. They even shout 'for friendship! or somewhat." As I try to pose like one of the magical girls while sitting.

"Wait, what!??"
