Rowan's P.O.V.

I can still remember Mob when the first time I was assigned as her bodyguard. She was around 5 years old.

Mob was just like any other child. Energetic, playful, and full of smiles. I was quite annoyed how I, one of the trained officers was being assigned to some kid who did not have any powers.

Her family was quite afraid because of a certain oracle towards their fourth child, because of that, they kept traveling to search for a 'cure' to it, or rather it was finding charms to protect their own child against the oracle.

The child is very kind, lovable, and smart, that's why all five members of the bodyguard group were attached to her.

All of us have different stories and histories, but even if that's the case, it made us feel warm when accompanying the child.

Even though she was still a young child, she never whines nor questions why her parents and siblings are so busy.

Whenever they visit her, she would run toward them and shout, "Welcome home!" with a big smile.

She hugs them and gives her family a flower that she specifically takes care of. Most of the time, her family members were very busy that they can only visit for one day and after that, they would go on another travel.

Her mother and father are busy with different missions and searching for charms, while her older siblings were busy with training.

At that time too, she has two small twin siblings. She would visit them in another house since they were put in separate houses.

This has been ongoing till she reaches the age of eight.

One day, when it was my shift to guard her, I can remember when she said something unique to me.

"Big brother Rowan, you like Sister Kana aren't you??" She said in a teasing voice.

"Sheesh! This young child! Were just colleagues you know?" I said bashfully.

"Wah, I'll say it to Sister Kana that you said that"

"No! I'm sorry! I like- no, I love her ok! So, don't say anything bad about me to her."

She laughs as she teases my girlfriend who is my wife now.

Suddenly, she stops laughing and look at the sunset in the green fields where she sat. The warm light shine on her as her eyes started to become sadder.

"I'm glad that we can live peacefully like this. I just hope that I can spend it more with my family. I hope that I can extend it longer but my time is-" She cuts what she was going to say.

I look at her meaningfully thinking that something is off.
