Chapter 45: My three days with you (Part 5)

Lena, Avo, and Cereus entered the room together with Argentum who pushed the wheelchair.
Nobody talks about what happened and just kept quiet.

Lena didn't like prying on others' business unless the person personally shared it with her, she just pats Cereus back, trying to soothe the child.

Cereus didn't cry or anything, but that doesn't mean that she is not hurt by the actions of her big sister.

Lena points towards the bed to Argentum which he followed. Lena stands up and tries to lay Cereus on the bed but keeps clutching at Lena.

"You should get some rest, I heard you have been waiting outside my room early in the morning"
"Cereus, if you wanted to go somewhere, you should have told me. What if something happens to you?" Nanny Avo said towards Cereus.

Cereus just kept quiet. Lena and Avo look at each other confused about what to do.
"Then, do you want to do something?" Lena asks Cereus.

"U-umm, big sis, I-I heard that there are food stalls at night near the hospital. Can we go there together?" Cereus said as she keeps hugging Lena.

"But, we need to ask permission to your-"Lena stops what she was about to say.

Talking about her parents is not a good thing to Cereus, especially that even in the story that I have read about her in my past life, she died alone in her bed which makes me really angry about them, Lena thought to herself.

"To Nanny Avo" Lena said, correcting what she said.

"Umm Nanny, can we?" Cereus said looking at Avo.

Avo was surprised but smiled gently.

"I'll ask permission first, ok? I'm sure your parents will let you." Avo with a sad yet sweet smile said.

"Ok, then can we watch together today big sis?" Cereus said, hinting she want to watch the T.V. with Lena.

"Of course" Lena said with a smile.

In another place, the abandoned building where two embryos started to beat like a heart.

"Sunny! Why is the embryo started to beat again? I'm really confused on how this thing is any different from the embryo of a Skotadi" Boris said as he squats down while eating an apple.

"Hahhh~~ This is so hard when there's an idiot within our ranks, Sheesh!" Arius said sarcastically.

"Sheesh!" Rowan added.

"Sheesh!" Valentine chimed in.

"You bastards!" Boris said while trying to chase the three of them.

"You guys always do things like this; do you want me to shut the f*ck up all of you?" With a click of Sunny's high heels, the four idiotic men behave.
